  1. Batch update of role expiry dates via the UI

    Batch update of role expiry dates via the UI.

    We have hundreds of student staff who have expiry dates on their roles (see attached for an example). Every semester, we have to manually edit each and every role for every student. This process would be so much easier if we could choose multiple roles and then batch update the expiry date.

  2. Make the "General Mail" feature more customizable

    On the "User Details" screen in Alma, there is a "Send Message" function. If "General Mail" is selected, any message that is composed shows up as "ILLEMAILTOUSERlongstringofnumbers" under the user's Attachment tab. Unlike other letters, this is saved as a "text/plain" type, requiring the file to be downloaded before it can be viewed. It would be nice if this attachment type could be renamed, or given a more descriptive title than "ILLEMAILTO_USER," especially as it is generated from within the User Details screen and not via Resource Sharing or ILL.

  3. Allow administrators to change the labels on Alma terminology.

    Allow relabeling of field tags, such as changing CHRON I to YEAR, and ENUM A to VOLUME. Let libraries have the flexability to use the terminalogy that they prefer.

  4. Move general email feature outside of the User's form

    The General Email function is currently located inside the form for updating general information in the user record.

    If there are any problems with missing mandatory data in the form then the email cannot be used at all.

    Since it is unrelated to user general information I would suggest that the Send Message function should be located outside of the user data area perhaps up near the buttons "Toggle Account Type", "Open for Update". (See screenshot)
    Additionally, the general mail could perhaps be added to the letters that can be sent from "Manage Patron Services"

  5. Could we have dates showing the actual month, not represented numerically?

    Many of our students can't work out when their items are due, maybe due to the increasing use of the US dating format, so they don't know if 4/10/16 is the 4th of October or the 10th of April. Using the actual months would decrease the confusion.

  6. Make patron info updateable in Primo flag more granular

    Currently the only control on allowing patrons to update info via Primo is either on or off:

  7. Inactive/Active change to be visible in history tab

    When a users account is made inactive/active it does not currently show in the history tab. I would be extremely useful to be able to view when a users account becomes inactive.

  8. Alma user mgmt: Ability to add role profiles to a set of users

    Currently you can add roles to a set of users as per http://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Knowledge_Articles/How_to_add_a_role_to_a_group_of_users%3F. However, if you want to add multiple roles you have to run the job multiple times and potentially for different scopes each time.

    It would useful to be able to apply role profiles to a set of users, as you can predefine many roles in a profile.

  9. user title as free text field instead of pre-defined drop-down

    The field user title should be definable as free text field (min 100 characters long), so that various combinations of user titles can be imported from the campus information system. Now this is not possible, because titles (resp. combinations of titles) have to be defined BEFORE importing users via API.

  10. Allow a block to be created as part of the 'change to lost' overdue and lost loan profiles.

    We'd like the ability to create a block when an item is made 'lost' as part of the overdue and lost loan profile schedules.

    At the moment we can only add a block on the overdue notification types, which we do for the last overdue notification we send before it becomes considered lost.

    However, as soon as the item is changed to lost by the profile schedule it removes the block automatically created by the overdue notification profile.

  11. automate user update job to send user emails ie about to expire

    Currently the user update job can send emails to patrons. However due to the technical aspect of creating sets and running the job our user services librarians prefer to take the information out of a dashboard and widget and add them to a template email in outlook. It would be better if a schedule job could be created to send out user update emails to logical sets. Specifically for users that are about to expire - and have loans to return.

  12. Make Notes/Blocks tabs more noticeable

    When users have blocks or notes attached to their account, it would be helpful if the tab changed colour or had a red exclamation mark icon in the corner. This would alert members of staff immediately if there was something on the account that needed to be seen, i.e information about disability arrangements, reasons why a user is blocked, fine payment arrangements etc.

    Currently the folded blue tab in the corner, meant to indicate that there is information in that space, makes the Notes/Blocks tabs just blend in with the rest.

  14. Automatically add new user statistical categories as they are imported via the SIS integration

    As a system administrator I want any new statistical category codes used in the student file import to be added to the table as they appear in the file. Voyager previously added the code and then a system administrator could add the description to match.

  15. Borrowing activity letter should exclude patrons with no loans

    When running a borrowing activity letter job, it will send an e-mail to patrons with no loans. Only fees. That is not neccessary. Would be nice to have a possibility to exclude those customers.

  16. Add Option to Toggle User Record Type

    Add a simple toggle option for a user record to easily switch Record Types between Staff and Public. While there are more complicated ways to deal with it, if a user record is accidentally created and assigned the wrong Record Type there is no easy mechanism to change it, like we can when toggling an account between Internal and External.

  17. Please leave me signed in at my library.

    There is no point in timing us out of our specific library. It is super annoying to come back to my desk and find that ALMA has kicked me out of my library and that I have to select it again---the only library in the list of options, btw, making it pointless for me to "choose a library" in the first place. There's only one! Please turn that off. It is a bug, not a feature of the program.

  18. SIS - Save Rejected records in XML format for re-load

    Currently rejected records from the SIS batch upload process are only identified in the event log. It would be very useful if the rejected records were saved to a separate file in XML format. This would allow for easier re-load once the load error is resolved.

  19. Possibility to duplicate a Staff User record

    We do use Role Profiles to create new Sfaff Users as easily as possible.
    However, we have about 30 sublibraries and colleagues, some of them working in several libraries or have special WO Department permissions, etc. Therefore we do not have suitable Role Profiles for all combinations.

    It would be great if we could duplicate an existing Staff User record instead of having to create a user from scratch.

  20. Add Last Login attribute to Users subject area in Analytics

    The current Staff Login Report in Alma Configuration is of limited use, in that it doesn't provide additional details about users beyond Primary ID and last login date. In Analytics, we can find full details about named users, but cannot determine which accounts are actively used without the "Last Login Date" field.

    We would like to see the Last Login Date--i.e., the last date a user logged in to Alma to perform staff activity--added as an attribute to the Users subject area in Analytics. Having this date along with users roles and expiration dates will help our libraries better manage…
