  1. Add breadcrumb trail to staff interface

    In Alma, the information displayed often depends on the task you are working on to get there. This is a nice feature, but it would be helpful if breadcrumbs were displayed to help track how you arrived at the screen.

    This would be especially helpful to new users.

  2. Cursor auto-return to search box.

    Each Alma search involves re-clicking the search box to restart the search process. Time consumer when searching lists of items. Many websites have a feature in which the cursor auto-returns to the search box. Please add this feature.

  3. Coordinate the alphabetization of the Letters tables

    Coordinate the alphabetization of the Letter Activity table and the Letter Emails table in configuration, and the letters description table in the OLH. Each table seems to use a different alphabetization scheme (if any at all) which makes it extremely difficult to coordinate configurations or to locate specific letters to customize or review.

  4. Not so much an idea more like a request

    I would love to see more keyboard shortcuts like "Alt+B" throughout the system. Like in voyager I would love to able to use keyboard instead of the mouse. It would make my workflows so much more comfortable and faster.

  5. Make Interface Admin and Usage Stats Information Usable from Alma

    It would be great if we could export username and password fields from the Administrative Information tab and Statistics Information tab located under the Vendor Interface Details page for each interface we have in Alma. As it is now, it is not possible to export this information using Analytics. We are currently required to either provide more access than is necessary for users who are tasked with collecting usage, or maintain a separate spreadsheet/database with URLs, usernames and passwords, which is an ongoing duplication of effort as these change frequently.

  6. Ideas Exchange export option

    It would be nice if we could export all the ideas from Ideas Exchange into Excel or by csv file so they can be reviewed more easy than page by page to see if an idea is already there (albeit worded differently) before voting. Since we can export our personal data from settings there is obviously some export functionality on Ideas exchange- can we have a bit more?

  7. Ajout de l'adresse de la Bibliothèque propriétaire de la demande annulée

    Concernant la lettre d'Annulation d'une demande "FulCancelRequestLetter", au lieu d'avoir l'adresse de l'Institution, nous aimerions voir apparaître les coordonnées de la bibliothèque dont dépend le document demandé.
    Cela permet à l'usager d'avoir la possibilité de contacter la bibliothèque en cas d'annulation de demande de celle-ci.

  8. Allow for greater variety in the scheduling of export invoices.

    Currently, there are only a handful of pre-defined choices for scheduling the invoice export. None of them fit the time our accounting department set aside to work with our invoices specifically. Please allow greater flexibility when selecting a time to export/import invoices, ex> 1500 hrs on Wednesdays.

  9. Enable different time formats for Alma interface and letters

    Currently, it's only possible to set one time format within Alma (Configuration Menu > General > General Configuration > Other Settings > system_time_format), which is used universally in the Alma interface (e.g. in patron records, in monitor jobs). A time format that's appropriate for use in the Alma interface isn't necessarily right for letters that are sent out to users. For example, we would like to set the time format for the Alma interface to 24 hour clock including seconds (H:mm:ss). For letters though, we would prefer to stick to 24 hour clock without seconds (H:mm) because it's easier to…

  10. Add Description to Standard Openings Hours in Calendar Management

    During implementation standard opening hours were entered with the days of the week in the description column. When users edit or add standard opening hours, the description column is not available. It would help if we could enter the day in the description column.

  11. copy opening hours between libraries

    Since many libraries within an institution have the same exceptions to regular operating hours due to holidays and institution changes, please set up a way to copy the hours AND EXCEPTIONS from one library to another.

    There are over 50 entries in the calendar management of opening hours to account for our annual changing hours with breaks, holidays, finals, intersessions, and semesters. Currently I must enter these 50+ entries for each library. Having a way to copy from one library to another would save hours of work.

  12. For calendar entries which have a start date in the past, automatically update the start date to the current date upon edit.

    When you edit a calendar entry, you have to physically change the "Valid from" start date to today if the entry was first entered in the past. If you forget to change the start date to the current date, you trigger an error that reads "Valid from cannot be in the past".

    My enhancement request is:

    For calendar entries which have a start date in the past, automatically update the start date to the current date upon edit.

  13. rfid: write AFI-value to the tag in item editor

    Please write the secure AFI-Value, if a staff user use the button "write RFID and save" inside item-editor.

    We use empty RFID-Tags. So we have to initialize the AFI-Value for each tag. Now we have to go into fulfillment area and return an item to write the secure value to the tag.

    If in the item-editor the AFI-value would be written it helps a lot and save time.

    A function like the 'X' in the Primo search bar, which removes entered search string, would make user interaction with the Alma UI more efficient.

  15. Allow dynamic values in (some) configuration fields

    In some cases it would be helpful to be able to enter a dynamic value rather than a static text in a configuration field.

    My current use case is configuration of FTP import profiles, where it would help with two different needs: avoid repeatedly having to adjust all import profiles after a sandbox refresh, and avoid having to create separate import profiles for each operator with the only difference being a personal Input directory.

    As the import profile configuration doesn't use the centrally defined FTP profiles (another idea ...), after reloading the sandbox from the production environment all FTP import…

  16. Support DKIM when messaging

    There is a trend towards institutions requiring DomainKeys Identified Mail when sending messages. It would be helpful if when configuring Alma to use our mail gateways DKIM was supported.

    In the Monitor Requests & Item Processes screen it would be extremely useful to show the item Storage Location ID and the Description. And / Or to have item Storage Location ID and Description available in the excel export of this screen.

  18. Recent searches fine tuning/disabling

    Hello,
    customizing the number of results of the "recent searches" returned in the new UI would be a great thing.

    Now on our Alma it seems limited to the last 10 searches.

    As some people seems to prefer the old browser cache, it would be a great thing too the possibility of eventually disabling it.

  19. Provide more display text options for physical related records

    Although the Alma "Labels" table has multiple codes for use with electronic related titles, there's only one for physical related titles.

    Specifically, there are separate viewit options for 773 (c.uresolver.viewit.related_type_list.PART_OF) and 774 (c.uresolver.viewit.related_type_list.CONTAINS) but a single getit option (c.uresolver.getit.related_title_display) is used for both 773 and 774.

  20. Location Changer

    Under "Run a Job" in the Admin section, there should be an option to change/edit the permanent/temporary location of bib items. This would make it easier on the cataloger when working on certain projects where books have to be moved from one location to the next.
