Add more work record details (e.g. MMSid) to the InterestedInLetter to improve Interested User notifications
Currently the XML which builds the InterestedInLetter for receipted Print and activated Electronic resources does not provide many details which can be customised in the letters customers would like to send to their patrons/interested users.
A specific use might be to send a pre-set Primo link to the resource (e.g. a deeplink search by MMSid), but also to be able to provide much clearer information to the Interested user about what the item is, and where it is/will be found.
i.e.
i) Order Number (PO Line ref)
ii) Title (Possibly brief POL record/not the updated bib to which inventory is finally attached
iii) Call number
iv) Message (two set text options).
It would be much more valuable to configure the letter with additional XML data, such as the MMSid, the full Bibliographic record title, and other elements similar to other item notifications.
This mainly applies

This letter also requires a message option for cancelled orders.
i.e. iv) Message (three set text options). -

We would like to support this idea and especially Tim's suggestion to include the direct URL, in addition to the Primo URL.

Hi Rosemary,
Several messages related to this topic were posted on the Alma list in January 2018.
Subject: "ACQ: Interested In letter for e-books -- way to include URL?"

Hi François,
Many thanks for letting us know about this! Do you know if there is any instruction material available in the knowledge centre or online for this?
Thanks,
Rosemary -

Hi Rosemary,
Some customers added a URL to their Interested In letter. It might not be exactly what you need, but it takes a user to the appropriate MMS ID in Primo (deep link). The MMS ID was added in the XML outpout some months ago.
Example for the Classsic UI:
<a><xsl:attribute name="href">https://<BASE_URL>.exlibrisgroup.com/primo-explore/search?tab=default&vid=YOUR_VIEW_ID&query=any,exact,"<xsl:value-of select= '/notification_data/mms_id' />"</xsl:attribute> <xsl:value-of select="notification_data/title"/></a>Example for the New UI:
<a><xsl:attribute name="href">https://<BASE_URL>.exlibrisgroup.com/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?fn=search&ct=search&initialSearch=true&mode=Basic&tab=default_tab&indx=1&dum=true&srt=rank&vid=YOUR_VIEW_ID&frbg=&vl%28362751202UI1%29=all_items&vl%281UI0%29=contains&vl%28freeText0%29=<xsl:value-of select= '/notification_data/mms_id' /></xsl:attribute> <xsl:value-of select="notification_data/title"/></a> -

A permalink in the Interested Users Letter to the Primo record would be extremely useful for our staff and students.

We agree with this and would also like Allison Erhardt suggestion of: Also, the library location is included in the XML, but not what library that location belongs to! Including the Library would be of great help. current a code (that I cannot find a map for) is sent, but it is a behind the scenes number, and not the code we create for the Library.

Case Title :Enhancement request - Addition of MMSID to InterestedIn letter XML?
Last comment:
Good news, MMSid will be added to the XML in the July release.ExL response to an existing SI #00159903
"I'm pleased to inform you that with the Alma July 2016 Release, the MMSID will be added to the XML of the InterestedInletter.
I'm setting the case to status Pending Release so you can check it after the July release." -

Agree with Tim's comment in having the direct URL of the e-resource included.

I would find it useful for electronic resources if the URL of the resource was included in the XML. That way the same letter advising a user that the resource was available would provide access to the very text at a click.
