Browser's back button!
What would it take to make the browser's Back Button functional throughout Alma? It's just killing me to have to reload all the time because I accidentally use it. Plus, there are some screens that you can't back-up from to go where you were without starting all over again. As a newbie, it's surprising to me that this is a problem and that everyone else has learned to work around it.
Hello all,
This idea has been closed as part of a cleanup process for ideas older than two years with very low votes.
This cleanup process is necessary to streamline our idea management process and ensure that the most relevant and impactful ideas receive the attention they deserve.
Many improvements were added during the years by incorporating dedicated in-app back options, and this is also being supported by the new UX (NG) pages.
If you still feel strongly about this idea, you may submit it via the CERV process.
We value your feedback and encourage you to continue submitting and voting for ideas that you believe will enhance Alma.

I've been using Alma in Chrome, and added Alma to the desktop with the option of "open in window" (a Chrome application shortcut). This eliminates the forward/back buttons so I'm not tempted to use them (though keyboard shortcuts still work). Plus, it doesn't show tabs, bookmarks, or URL bar so you get an extra inch or so of space on the screen.
It also creates a separate icon so you can distinguish the Alma window from other browser windows on the task bar. This has been particularly helpful for our circ desk student workers.

Improvements have been made in the November 2016 Release to the way in which the Back browser button functions while working in Alma. If a Back button exists on the Alma page, the Back browser button simulates the Back button in Alma. If a Cancel button exists on the Alma page, the Back browser button simulates the Cancel button. Otherwise, the Back browser button goes to the last Alma page in the browser’s history.
