Cursor auto-return to search box.
Each Alma search involves re-clicking the search box to restart the search process. Time consumer when searching lists of items. Many websites have a feature in which the cursor auto-returns to the search box. Please add this feature.

Dear Community,
The requested behavior is the existing behavior for pages and search types of the new UI. We will align this behavior to search types which are still in the classic UI.
Thanks

We just came up on Alma two days ago and my tech services staff are already complaining about the lack of this basic functionality - Sierra can do it as an option, why can't Alma is the never-ending complaint. The ergonomic implications of an unnecessary extra click for every interaction with Alma over the course of an hour, day, week and career boggle the mind. Please fix this!

Please make this true, whenever logical, for all displays and pop-ups throughout Alma: whenever the new screen or pop-up opens, automatically place the cursor focus in the most-likely-to-be-used form input field.

Yes I agree, especially when you are scanning a large volume of books

This would save so much time!

After deleting an item, it would be great for the cursor to be in the search box ready for me to scan the next barcode! We're in a major weeding project.

We search for multiple invoices and it's very cumbersome to have to click in the box every time. The old Alma did not require this. The cursor auto-returned!
