An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedSee also the suggestion "KBART export from Alma to include title level URL". I work almost exclusively with standalone, local bibliographic records and portfolios for electronic resources. I spend an insane amount of time in Microsoft Excel trying to match up the data fields in one Alma export with the fields in a different Alma export. I want the MMS ID and the Portfolio ID included in every export for electronic resources, whether the set was composed with a title or portfolio search. And because we can't edit the portfolio URL field, I also need an export that returns the URL, Static URL, and Dynamic URL, as well as the bib record 856, subfield u, link.

An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedWhy can't we edit the portfolio "URL" field? We can edit the "Static URL" field. I'd love to revise outdated or erroneous URLs, and as Ms. Bearden wrote, not have them retrieved when I'm trying to search current URLs.

An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedYes, yes, yes! I waste an absurd amount of time in Excel, trying to match up the output from the Admin jobs "Export URLs" and "Export Electronic Portfolios" with the repository search results page "Export list" function, to determine which MMS ID goes with which Portfolio ID and what URL.

An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedI drag the divider line for the left frame towards the left, so that all I can see of the templates-records-etc. area is the first few letters of each option. In the Chrome browser, control-plus will increase the size of the display and control-minus reduce it, and I use that sometimes.
An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedIn the MD Editor, I especially want and much prefer to use a single-space font, such as Courier, which accurately displays the spacing between words or punctuation, to make it easier to see and delete extra spaces. In an exact string search [word][space][word] will not find [word][space][space][word]. The Courier display option is available in OCLC Connexion and in Innovative Interfaces Sierra.

The new Alma layout provides this functionality. For example: search: Physical Holdings -->the cursor stays at the search box. Same works for Borrowing /Lending Requests search, Order lines search (when the new layout is turned-on) and all other areas moved to the new layout. Note that there’s a keyboard shortcut (/) to focus on the search, which works for all search-mode (current interface and new layout)
An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedPlease make this true, whenever logical, for all displays and pop-ups throughout Alma: whenever the new screen or pop-up opens, automatically place the cursor focus in the most-likely-to-be-used form input field.

An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedWe need to be able to re-sort portfolios, because sometimes volumes of a set are issued as they are finished, rather than in numerical order (such as a large collection of the correspondence of a famous person). Also we need the volume information to display on a repository search results page, both for e-title searches (in the Expand Electronic space) and portfolio searches (or when you click on the "Portfolio List" button after an e-title search).

An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedRelated to this: when bib. records and portfolios are added through a batch import, each record's history says it was added by "System". Can't it be configured to display the person who initiated the import?

An error occurred while saving the comment Patt Leonard commentedIn our implementation of Alma, new UI, I do a simple search for: URL (Electronic Portfolio) / oecd ilibrary, which gives me 11 results: 3 are standalone portfolios; others are in an ecollection "OECD Periodicals". I click on the "Export List" icon and select the only option (Excel).
The resulting Excel file has 11 columns: A title; B Name; C Threshold; D title [which is an exact duplicate of column A "title"]; E underReview; F Availability; G MMS ID; H View It; I [blank]; J resultFromNetwork; and K Orders.
The first thing I have to do is delete 7 of these columns, because they are useless to me (C, D, E, F, H, I, J, and K). Then I have to start adding columns and bringing other data, copying and pasting, sorting and deleting. It's very time-consuming and aggravating.
Innovative Interfaces MIllenium and Sierra let me choose which fields I wanted to export from my search results. The selection process was a bit cumbersome, but precise: I could specify particular MARC fields and subfields, or a general category of fields such as "Titles" (to include uniform titles 245 fields, etc.). It is a HUGE shortcoming in Alma that users don't have that kind of control.Patt Leonard supported this idea · -

Yes to this suggestion. Also, add a result count for queries. I should not have to export the results to Excel to find out how many records Analytics retrieved.
