Yes to this suggestion. Also, add a result count for queries. I should not have to export the results to Excel to find out how many records Analytics retrieved.

See also the suggestion "KBART export from Alma to include title level URL". I work almost exclusively with standalone, local bibliographic records and portfolios for electronic resources. I spend an insane amount of time in Microsoft Excel trying to match up the data fields in one Alma export with the fields in a different Alma export. I want the MMS ID and the Portfolio ID included in every export for electronic resources, whether the set was composed with a title or portfolio search. And because we can't edit the portfolio URL field, I also need an export that returns the URL, Static URL, and Dynamic URL, as well as the bib record 856, subfield u, link.

Please make this true of all such pop-ups. Alma is very "clicky", requiring lots of moving the mouse and pressing mouse clicks. More keyboard options would speed up data entry and editing.

Why can't we edit the portfolio "URL" field? We can edit the "Static URL" field. I'd love to revise outdated or erroneous URLs, and as Ms. Bearden wrote, not have them retrieved when I'm trying to search current URLs.

Yes, yes, yes! I waste an absurd amount of time in Excel, trying to match up the output from the Admin jobs "Export URLs" and "Export Electronic Portfolios" with the repository search results page "Export list" function, to determine which MMS ID goes with which Portfolio ID and what URL.

I would not limit this feature to librarians--it's much more likely that our users will be searching Primo and encounter the bad links. Because there is no simple or obvious reporting mechanism, they don't inform us. I would make “Report this bad link?” an option for anyone who is browsing the catalog.

This same fix is needed for punctuation in Primo displays. The Ex Libris software adds periods to fields that already end in periods, and doesn't add punctuation to separate fields that it runs together. It makes the library staff look illiterate. It shouldn't be up to each library to tediously program Primo to fix Primo's bad punctuation algorithms. Attached screen shot shows a Primo display of book authors with incompetent punctuation--not from the MARC bibliographic record, but from Primo's display of the fields.

I drag the divider line for the left frame towards the left, so that all I can see of the templates-records-etc. area is the first few letters of each option. In the Chrome browser, control-plus will increase the size of the display and control-minus reduce it, and I use that sometimes.

In the MD Editor, I especially want and much prefer to use a single-space font, such as Courier, which accurately displays the spacing between words or punctuation, to make it easier to see and delete extra spaces. In an exact string search [word][space][word] will not find [word][space][space][word]. The Courier display option is available in OCLC Connexion and in Innovative Interfaces Sierra.

Please make this true, whenever logical, for all displays and pop-ups throughout Alma: whenever the new screen or pop-up opens, automatically place the cursor focus in the most-likely-to-be-used form input field.

We need to be able to re-sort portfolios, because sometimes volumes of a set are issued as they are finished, rather than in numerical order (such as a large collection of the correspondence of a famous person). Also we need the volume information to display on a repository search results page, both for e-title searches (in the Expand Electronic space) and portfolio searches (or when you click on the "Portfolio List" button after an e-title search).

From the Ex Libris support customer portal, Case 00595049: "How do I link local portfolios to the CZ when match point is ISBN and there is no ISBN?"

Answer posted by Elizabeth Farrell Technical Support Analyst. "I'm afraid there's no way around the identifier requirement to link portfolios to the CZ. Without an ISBN or ISSN, local portfolios can't be linked. I believe the only way to use the CZ portfolios for these titles would be to activate the portfolios from the CZ (and replace the local portfolios)."

    1. In Alma, I search for an electronic title, by title.
    2. The brief display shows me a particular item we have that has four portfolios. The display has "Interface Name; Collection Name; Service Type, Availability; Portfolio". Assuming it is a multi-volume set, it needs volume number.
    3. I click on the title to see the bib record.
    4. I click on the Edit button to open the bib record in the MD Editor.
    5. I click on the View Inventory icon to see a brief display of the portfolios. The display only says "Name: Online Full Text". It needs to show me the volume number. They display in the order they were added to the system, so, for example, in the case of a large set where the volumes were released in different years, not in sequence, there is no way to guess which of the portfolio links goes to the desired volume.
    6. I have to click the Edit button for each one of those. The system always opens on the "Coverage" tab, which for my job, I never need to see. (I'm almost always checking the info under "LInking").
    7. I click on the "Notes" tab to see if we added a Public Note with "See volume number" text.
    8. I click on the "Linking" tab then "Test access" button to go to the resource to see what volume number it is. (I have to wait for the connection, then close that browser window.)
    9. I sometimes verify the volume number and URL in the bib record 856 field.
