Allow sorting of itemized set members similarly to logical set results.
In Manage Sets, enable sorting the members of itemized record sets by title, creator, and publication date, similar to the criteria available for sorting results of logical sets. Currently our only option for sorting the members of an itemized set is by exporting to Excel and manipulating the resulting spreadsheet, which doesn't allow for clean sorting by the same criteria.
Dear Community,
Thank you for your suggestion to allow sorting of itemized set members.
Unfortunately, after a thorough analysis, we have concluded that supporting full-set sorting for itemized sets is not technically feasible within the current architecture.
However, we recognize the importance of enhanced usability in managing sets, and as part of ongoing UX improvements, we will gradually introduce page-level sorting capabilities for itemized sets, across different set types.
We appreciate your engagement and continued contributions to the Idea Exchange.
Thanks,

George Washington Law also wholeheartedly supports adding this enhancement to Alma.

This is still a need; please look again at this one.

Came here to post this same idea. It would be so useful in so many contexts!

New to Alma and was also surprised that this functionality isn't already included. Sorting by call number is hard to do in a spreadsheet. Thanks.

I second everyone's comments, and would like to add that being able to sort by creation date would also be helpful in certain situations. Thanks.

This seems pretty basic and I was shocked to see that this wasn't possible. Please add this.

It would also be really useful to find records within an itemized set, apart from sorting and filtering.

This would be so helpful. It's also incredibly frustrating that itemized sets appear to have no rhyme or reason in the way they sort, and the order of set members changes at random when you leave the set and come back, or even just add or remove members from the set.

Once again, basic functionality that should be included in Alma OTB, but isn't. Instead we have to submit ideas to develop functionality that should have been included from the beginning.

YES! This is a no-brainer. We have to have some options available to sort the "members" of an itemized set. Title, call number, location, and status are just a few of the options that could be extremely helpful. The members of a set aren't even in the same order as they were on the file used to create the set. This makes it hard to find records!

I would also like the ability to sort sets by location within a library.
