Create a "sticky note" widget for individualized staff notes.
It would be helpful to have a "sticky note" type widget available on the Alma homepage so that staff could record personalized ideas/instructions/reminders to themselves about Alma-specific work.
The simplest version could just be a plain text box where staff could add/delete text as desired. A fancier version could allow for multiple notes to be created, storing them each with a title and create date and listing them all in the Widget.
If we get really crazy there could be a setting to enable the user to choose whether the note is a public note (for all other Alma users at the institution) or a private note. But I would be happy for the simplest of options--just a text box to jot down notes that will always be there when I login to Alma.

Webhook for Library Hour Changes
It would be great if a event could be created that would fire a webhook when a librarys hours change.
The use case for this is when we use a 3rd party system that pulls hours out of Alma, we want to be able to know the hours have changed and perform a sync sooner than say 72 hours later (or whatever interval) when the outside system refreshes automatically.
This would be useful when we close do to inclement weather or something, so we could trigger updating our 3rd party system after the hours are updated in Alma.

E-Resources: Make public note and authentication note translatable
In the editor of e-collection / service / portfolio, it is possible to set up the public note and authentication note. These are then displayed to the patron in Primo VE in the box with full-text link in view it section.
Currently it is a simple text box with no translation possibility. In our network we use 4 languages for the UI. Therefore, we require this field to be translatable so the note language adjusts to the patron interface in Primo VE.

Possibility to duplicate a Staff User record
We do use Role Profiles to create new Sfaff Users as easily as possible.
However, we have about 30 sublibraries and colleagues, some of them working in several libraries or have special WO Department permissions, etc. Therefore we do not have suitable Role Profiles for all combinations. It would be great if we could duplicate an existing Staff User record instead of having to create a user from scratch.
Thank you in advance!

Option to configure interested user notification for ebooks to be sent when activation task changed to Done rather than when Activated
We would like the ability to configure when our interested user notifications are sent for ebooks. We would like the option to send these when the activation task is changed to Done in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List instead of when the ebooks are activated. This would give us the opportunity to check the ebook portfolio links and bibliographic records for our Rialto purchased ebooks before the notifications are sent to the interested users.

List the "Pick from Shelf" list, "Monitor Requests and item processes" and results from a "Requests" search in order from latest to oldest
We would find it helpful if it were possible to view requests (both active and complete) in order from latest to older without the need to export and filter

Editing receiving note from Received Items List
The Receiving Note (top right) displays when we are receiving one-time or continuous orders in the Received Items List but we cannot edit the note from this screen. We need to go back to the 'Receive New Material' list, click on the POL number, and edit the POL from there.
It would be useful for us to be edit the Receiving Note from the Received Items List while we can see the list of received and unrelieved issues.61 votes -
Request instead of Interested User
For Alma, request and interested user are two different things. This is not easy for us to work with. In bigger libraries, staff members have access either request nor interested user, so it is difficult to check request/interested user for our users.
I wish, you replace interested user by request in the PO Line.17 votes -
""Display in Discovery" link should go to Primo view based on your location in Alma
Currently if your Alma instance has multiple Primo views, you can only choose one for the ""Display in Discovery" link to go to. This can be incredibly frustrating for anyone needing to see the display in a different Primo view, as they have to edit the url.
Every Alma user already has to choose a location when they log in. Therefore, Alma should be configurable to go to a specific Primo view based on the current location of the Alma user.

Make Approved Purchase Requests Editable
It would be very helpful if it was possible to edit Purchase Requests which have been approved. Our purchase requests default to 'electronic' material type, but if the electronic version of the requested item is unavailable and we need to order print copies instead, and the staff dealing with the request forget to change the material type before clicking on 'Approve and order', this means an order is created with the wrong material type and there is no way to fix this retrospectively. It would save us a lot of rework if it was possible to change the material type for purchase requests or for purchase order lines after the order had been created.

Support local portfolio record creation using parser parameter linking
Alma electronic collections offer ‘parser parameter’ linking as an alternative to static URLs. Community Zone electronic collections generally use parser parameter linking. Currently there is no way of creating local bibliographic and portfolio records and at the point of record creation setting them to use parser parameter linking, and populating the portfolio record parser parameters field with the relevant bkey value for that title. If we want to use local bibliographic and portfolio records and use parser parameter linking, our only option is to create the records using static URLs and then subsequently edit the records to use parser parameters.
Potential scenarios where we might want to load local bibliographic and portfolio records into an electronic collection using parser parameter linking:
- Where we are using a Community Zone electronic collection that uses parser parameter linking but there is no available record for a particular title so we are loading a local record.
- There is no suitable Community Zone electronic collection for a particular content set and we have created a local electronic collection, but we have copied over the parser parameter linking syntax from other Community Zone collections for content from that publisher on the same platform. It would be an improvement if Alma allowed us to apply parser parameter linking at the point of loading and creating local records.

Add free/not free information about collections
Currently through Analytics it's not possible to create a report on collections with the information: "Is free?" and "Is Free? (override)".
It is just possible to find "Service is free" and "Service is free (override)" fields, that exclude all collections that don't have any services, such as databases.
We propose to add fields "Is free?" and "Is Free? (override)".34 votes -

Enable Advanced search for borrowing and lending requests
Currently Advanced search is not available for Borrowing and Lending requests. The current Alma persistent search box does not provide Resource sharing staff with sufficient access to perform multi level queries.
Direct searching in Alma via Advanced Search would allow staff retrieve specific data such as:
- requests submitted by a specific person and supplied by a specific partner
- requests submitted for Leganto course lists supplied by a specific partner.
- a list of all borrowing requests supplied to a user for copyright compliance reasonsThis functionality would be very useful and time efficient.

Alma Analytics: Add "Pickup Location" to the Borrowing Requests Subject Area
We need tp know which local library locations requested how many items from each Lending institution in an analytic report. When Borrowing requests first go out go out we can easily see which of our, let's say 4, different library pick up locations ordered each item by looking at the pick up location parameter in the facets, The pick up location is even maintained in Alma once the item is filled. But it is not available in the Borrowing Request subject area of the analytic. We can only get an aggregate campus total for requests borrowed from each Lending Institution. In this example let's say our libraries or pickup locations are called "Main Library" Science Library" "Medical Library" and "Law Library" Now let's say in one month we filled Borrowing requests from Lending Institutions "Munchkin College", "Doc Brown Tech", and "Lukeiamyourfather University", We can currently run an analytic that give us campus aggregates of the number of requests we borrowed from each institution such as 80 physical and 5 digital from "Munchkin College"; 50 physical and 10 digital from "Doc Brown Tech" and 18 physical and 9 digital from "Lukeiamyour father University". But we need a more granular report that would show for example, that of the 80 physical and 5 digital requests we got from "Munchkin College" for the physical, 40 were requested by the Main Library, 30 were by Science, 8 by Medical and 2 by Law. And lets says all 5 digital items were requested by Science. And a similar breakdown would continue for the other Lending Institutions as well. Adding the pickup location field to the Borrowing requests subject area would enable us to break down the campus aggregates by the individual requesting libraries.

Add a translation field to custom License Terms
Under Alma Configuration > Acquisitions > Manage License Terms, it is possible to add library-defined license terms. However, contrary to the "out of the box" license terms, which is provided with a translation in all supported languages, it is not possible for the library to add a translation. This is not an issue with Primo, since a label table can be used, but it affects the Alma UI, where custom terms cannot be displayed in the UI's language, and API responses, which are language sensitive for OTB license terms but cannot display a translation for custom terms.

Ability to assign fulfillment proxy to existing users
We recently tested the fulfillment proxy feature as we have a few departmental workflows we have been using shared internal accounts for. We find the functionality to be the inverse of what we would like to see. For example, we have about 10 users who place RS requests for the law review. We would like to add the fulfillment proxy to these existing user rather than making them new internal accounts.

Allow default filter settings in searches to be customised
Dear creative minds,
There are many search bars in ALMA that have default filter settings. Depending on personal preference and work tasks, the default is not always practical. Time and time again I need to change the filter settings to my particular preference or need. Not efficient in terms of mouse clicks and time!
This issue is conspicuously time and click-consuming when one tries to add a closed PO line to a portfolio, collection or associate it to another PO line. The default filter is set to 'Active' PO lines, so closed PO lines will not be searched. One needs to open 'Select from a list' (click 1), change filter from 'Active' to 'All (click 2 & 3), type and pick the right PO line (click 4). There is no way Alma saves this preferred search setting, so next closed PO line you'll have to run through the same steps.
It would be useful if customisation is extended for default filter settings. Please consider this idea and upvote if you like :)
