Add Access type in the portfolio information update job
Since Ex Libris has added Access type for individual portfolio, there has to be a job to run to add access type to the portfolios in a collection. Currently, either we have to specify it in each portfolio manually, or we load a spreadsheet matching on portfolio ID. Unfortunately, as of today 1/23/2019, when loading a spreadsheet without the local coverage, e.g. only the access type, the local coverage is overwritten.

Correct article level target links for records without assigned volume or issue numbers
For example, we see erroneous records (without working linking/availability) that are published ahead of print and which do not have specific volume/issue numbers. Until the publisher updates this information Primo links are directed to an error page.

"Electronic material type originating from Bib" vs "Electronic material type" : a display issue in the Portfolio service editor's list
In an electronic portfolio, there is a field called "Electronic material type originating from Bib" which can be overloaded by another field called "Electronic material type".
The Job "Change electronic portfolio information" allows to update the material type of portfolios into the field "Electronic material type" into a set of portfolios.
If we do so, the material type is not updated into the Portfolio service editor's list... which is confusing.our request : when the material type of a portfolio has been updated in the field "Electronic material type", ALMA should only considare this material type and display it in…

Suppress bibliographic records of electronic collections in NZ automatically.
Currently bibliographies of electronic collections, which we select "Mark Bib as suppressed" on the page of "Activation Wizard: Electronic Collection and Services Setup" and activated from CZ, are suppressed in IZ. But these records are in NZ and can be searched with consortium scope of Primo VE. It would be great if it is suppressed not only in IZ but also in NZ automatically. The necessary workflow looks as follows:
If held by one institution in a consortium and suppressed, suppressed from NZ.
If held by some institutions, and only one of them suppresses, not suppressed from NZ.
If held…18 votes -
The material type can be updated in bath mode
At present, for journals if the portfolio being activated is from the Community Zone, the material type value is ignored in the input file .For multiple portfolios , It is unrealistic to modify manually one by one.
We hope the material type can be updated in bath mode.18 votes -
Enable batch updating portfolios to update PO line field
Please add a column for PO line to the excel file for batch load updating portfolios. Below are specific examples from the Alma listserv of other institutions describing use cases for why this would be helpful.
Thanks,

Subject: [ALMA-L] Individual journal subscriptions associated to Electronic Collections"We have a subscription to the Sage Premier 2015 package. Each of the core titles (portfolios) in the package have the collection Sage Premier 2015 and this is what the purchase order for each of them…

Allow data from the POL notes to inform/be inherited by the portfolio notes.
Our Acquisitions process currently allows for receiving e-book purchase option information (platform and use model) from a vendor via POL notes. We would like this information to be inherited by the e-inventory in the notes field of the portfolio. There is currently no way to get that information out of the POL, and it is needed in the porfolio to streamline workflows.

Direct to source Test Access button
When you click on the "test access" button or link in drop down menu Alma takes you directly to the e-book/e-journal rather than going splash screen of portfolio resources that directly link to the e-book/e-journal
or
Add a button or link that directly goes out to the e-book/e-journal/database on the web skipping the splash window (see attached screen shot. Opening in a new browser windows without taking you away from the Alma browser window you are working on

Add " Additional e-mails " fields to " Report to ex libris " form in Alma
In Salesforce the customers can use "Additional e-mails" feature to let colleagues know that they have (already) opened a case for a specific issue. This makes teamwork easier.
For SF cases opened using the "Report to ex libris" feature, this is not possible. Plase add 5 "E-mail 1" - "E-mail 5" as in SalesForce.

In import profiles, ability to specify which 856 $u url is used to create electronic portfolios
Scenario: We manage some electronic collections in Worldshare Collection Manager. OCLC provides bibliographic records with the resource's url in the 856 $u. Sometimes the bib records will include multiple url's but we only want to select a specific one to create our portfolios in Alma.
For example, the Worldcat master record for OCLC 957128084 has 11 856 fields. (See attached screenshot.) Some are institution specific and others belong to different access providers. In such a situation, we want to be able to select the 856 $u url that begins with "http://www.jstor.org/stable" or "https://proquest.safaribooksonline.com".
In import profiles,…

Set Access Type flag for portfolios in Import Profile
In a portfolio, we can now set Access Type to Current, Perpetual, or both. It would be very useful to be able to set this flag when importing in batch, with a setting in the Import Profile.

Reflect Community Zone changes in affected portfolios' history tabs
Alma portfolios in the IZ show a modification date in their history when a change is made based on CZ data. However, the changes themselves are not documented in the portfolio's history tab -- just the fact that a change occurred on that date.
Some changes are displayed to users in the CZ updates task list, so it's clear that Ex Libris has a way to communicate this at the Institution level. But as Update Task List entries can be dismissed en masse, it's important to reflect CZ changes like linking and coverage dates in a more persistent manner, through…

Electronic Portfolios - can we have a new coverage line where free access can be added ?
At present in the coverage tab, there are the global dates, local, and perpetual (if the collection has been identified as having some perpetual access) Some of these titles have free access, which is not technically perpetual but is also not part of a subscription. Could a new line be added to include these free years/volumes, with the option to display these dates (or not) ? It would allow us to reduce the number of Free collections we have which all take users to the same place, and identify why we have access to journal years outside of our subscription…

Electronic Coverage Dates should be in a date format and be available in Analytics as such
Currently, electronic coverage dates are considered as strings and not as Dates. We request to treat them like dates and add them to Analytics, in order to base reports on these dates.

Set up Trials for Database-only resources in the CZ
It would be nice to be able to set up Database-only resources as a Trial. Currently only those resources with portfolios can be set up as a Trial.

Ability to customize the order of display for portfolio links in a record
When there are multiple portfolios for one title, such as a journal or newspaper, Alma allows them to be sorted by Rank, Title Asc, or Title Desc. But there are occasions when it would be optimal to custom sort the display. For example, for the title Barron's, we have three ProQuest Central portfolios displaying to the public, each with a different date range. It would be nice to be able to have them display in chronological order. Currently they display in this order: 1942-1987, 1921-1942, 1988-present. In this instance, the sort options do not help since they are all ProQuest…

Make View it the default tab when viewing electronic items
Currently when viewing items you can set the electronic & physical tabs to expand by default. However the 'View It' tab/option is hidden in the menu. We don't need to see the portfolios we hold at a glance, we need to be able to view and access the item and it's holdings.
Please add 'View It' to the list of tabs and to the expand options, so we can see what we hold at a glance and have access to it without needing to search for the menu button.
If you could add the holding information for when we only…

allow the use of sets in Overlap and Collection Analysis
The Overlap and Collection Analysis wizard allows two report types: Set Comparison and Selected Titles. Set Comparison only allows you to choose electronic collections, so the name is a misnomer. Selected Titles only allows you to upload a file. Neither type allows you to use the itemized/logical set functionality that already exists in Alma.
