  1. Display Licenses for Results from CDI if holdings are associated with a license

For Primo VE search results, display the license for results obtained from the CDI. Primo already displays the license terms of results obtained from Alma holdings. License terms are displayed next to a Primo VE result that is from an institution’s Alma holding if the Alma holding has a license assigned to it (shown in the Electronic Collection Editor’s General tab in Alma), but the license is not currently displayed when Primo VE search results are obtained from the CDI for the same holding (that does have a license assigned to it.). This would benefit ILL staff who rely on…

  2. Add "read more" button to allow for collapsing of long collection descriptions in collection discovery

Many of our contributors use the collection description field to provide detailed information about the materials within, some are over 5-6,000 characters. Descriptions this long force the banner image to become stretched and visibly unappealing; it also pushes the records down to where the user needs to scroll to see them. It would be great if there were a collapsable carrot or "..." or "Read More" button at the end of some predetermind amount of characters to shorten descriptions by default, but also allow users to read the entire piece of text if so desired.

  3. The new Give Us Feedback Tool should provide information about the end users IP

Access to electronic resources our library subscribes to is IP-based. If the user's IP address belongs to the university's IP range, they are recognized when they go to the resource and do not experience any access problems. Most of the issues reported to our support team come from students who forgot to turn on the VPN. Adding the IP address information to the feedback message would save us a lot of time in processing such issues.

  4. Configuration Option to view all links available in Primo VE (both direct and link resolver)

Please give us an option to display all links (both direct and link resolver) for all possible links in Primo VE. I have checked the "Display All Links in Full Display for CDI" which gives the direct link first, then students have to click "Show More" dropdown for subscribed content links. It would be preferable to have all available links display without students having to click the dropdown. And also, the subscribed links usually have coverage dates included so quicker for students as well.

  5. Landolt-Börnstein collection

Can you please add the Landolt-Börnstein collection since it isn't available in SFX? Our library has the entire collection through Springer Materials. Thank you

  6. Add option to control the visibility of collections in Primo and Collections Lobby

Give customers the option to control the visibility of individual collections in Primo and on the Collections Lobby page.

Use case: Our institution would like to have a limited number of centrally curated and managed collections that can be viewed in the Collections Lobby. But we would also like to give librarians the option to create their own collections for special projects, exhibits, or courses, which would not be displayed in the Lobby but could still be made accessible via direct link. Ideally, this could be achieved by adding checkboxes to the Collection Editor page - one controlling the collection's…

  7. Allow HTML coding for all labels

    Hi

Please allow HTML coding for all labels.
Including URLs via a href when the label isn't used as a link already.

This is working for a few labels, but far from all.

  8. Quicklink display options on full record

In Primo VE, any quicklinks associated with records show both at the top of the full record display and in the Links section of the record. CSS can be used to hide quicklinks from the Links section, but often results in a blank Links section on the record.

It would be helpful to have options to show quicklink at the top of the full record display, but hide them from the Links section. This would help improve the usefulness of the Links section of the record.

  9. Pipe setting improvement: allow to exclude specific OAI sets from a pipe

We would like to have the possibility to exclude one or more specific sets when we harvest the data with OAI-PMH protocol in Primo.
This option would have 2 results:
    - to reduce the number of imported records
    - we wouldn't have to set specific normalization rules in order to exclude the records we don't want to show in Primo

  10. Ability to create URL redirects for deleted collections

Alma offers institutions the ability to create collections to facilitate discovery and access to groups of related resources. In addition to being displayed on the Collections Lobby page, collections can be made accessible via direct links on websites, research guides, or course syllabi. However, when a collection is deleted, any links or bookmarks to that collection are broken. To avoid this, customers should have the ability to configure redirects for collection page URLs that can be used to route visitors to another page.

  11. Share on social media: add Mastodon and Bluesky

Share on social media from full title display:

Please add Mastodon and Bluesky as options.

Can't speak for Threads as that's blocked in Europe, but would probably make sense to add it at the same time.

  12. Fulfillment Network - Restrict the ordering of books from the other institution when there are books loanable in the home organization

*This is for the Fulfillment Network, not AFN.
We are in a small consortium, just two institutions. Now we are trying to use direct requesting function of the Fulfillment Network, not AFN. In this case, we found that there is no option which restricts the ordering of books from the other institution when there are books loanable in the home organization.

  14. "Search inside" option in PrimoVE for Journal titles - prevent this option for print only titles

Currently in PrimoVE, when a journal title search is undertaken for a title that is held in print format only, the "search inside" option is present. This is extremely misleading for users. If they undertake a search using this function, where the title is held in print format only, the user is shown articles from other titles.
Our idea therefore seeks that the leader, 007, 008 marc fields are used to identify when the title is a print only title and therefore prevent the "search inside" option from appearing against such titles in PrimoVE.

  15. ILL link on missing holdings

Currently GETIT ILL links won't appear on a citation when any range of print holdings are owned locally, even if the issue from the citation is not held. Please allow an option that allows a path to an ILL form when the issue needed is not locally held.

  16. Display item enumeration on location level under Get It for Primo VE

We would like to be able to configure the information displayed under Get it in the location/holding level for Primo VE to contain information from the enumeration fields from the item level.

This used to be possible in Primo BO (see attached screenshot), but unfortunately not anymore in Primo VE.

When there are many holdings and items the user, as a consequence, will have to perform many clicks through all the holdings and checking all the items to find the volume that they are looking for.
It would then be more useful if they could see on the location level…

  17. Show e-collections activated in the NZ in the Database Search of IZs

In our network we activate certain Open Access e-resources in the Network Zone. These e-collections are activated for every IZ without restriction. Some of our Institution Zones are using the Database Search to allow Patrons to search for their e-collections. Unfortunately, the Database Search is showing only e-collections that are activated and have inventory in the IZ. It does not show any of the Network Zone e-collections.

We would like to have the option to include the Network zone activated e-collections in the Database Search of the IZs.

  18. Requesting at artcle level optional

In our library we do not carry out article level requests for print journals. Our patrons can only request issues. But Primo shows the Get It section for articles where there is a print record for the journal. We do want the Get It section on the journal, but not on the article level. It would be nice if the individual library could decide wethter to show ********* articles or not.

  19. Displaying author field in collections in Primo

We have a collection in Primo showcasing publications from our researchers and so we would like to be able to display the author's name to promote the book. See screenshot for what currently displays (title and book cover).

  20. Remove Pickup location entry from digitization entry in my requests

When digitization requests are in process, a pickup location is displayed. This doesn't make sense for something that is a digitization or document delivery request, since there is nothing to "pickup". I realize this is a holdover from the photocopy days, but perhaps it might make more sense if patrons had the option to request physical delivery for a digitization request ("request physical copy") and ask them to designate a pickup location rather than having users assign a pickup location for all digital requests.
