Additional Format options for resource sharing request form
The resource sharing request form currently only allows selections of "Physical" and "Digital", but patrons might have both preferences and flexibility on the format of their requests. Additional options like "Physical Only, Digital Only, Physical preferred but digital accepted, or Digital preferred but physical accepted" would be helpful for both patrons and ILL staff.

Consortia environment: inheritance for open access collections
Open access collections that are activated in the NZ are not inherited by the IZs.
Given the number of open access collections and the possible number of IZs, it can be a tedious task to activate a large number of OA collections for each IZ.
We would like to see that OA collections can be inherited just like regular subscription collections.

Ability to configure the Update Password option in My Library Card by user type
We have both internal and external users in Alma. We want to display the option to Update Password to internal users who have their passwords stored in Alma and hide the option for external users who are authenticated via SSO and cannot update passwords via Alma. However at the moment it shows for all users, which is confusing to external users who cannot use this functionality.

Add an option to disable direct linking for newspapers
The Alma Direct Linking configuration (see https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Knowledge_Articles/Direct_Linking_configurations_for_Alma_and_Primo) at the Alma Configuration > Fulfillment > Discovery Interface Display Logic > Direct Linking menu allows us to choose to "Disable direct linking for journals." This is an important option to select because we often have access to the same journal through multiple collections (a backfile collection, a current subscription, and an aggregator, for example), and each one might have different coverage dates. We want to disable direct linking for journals because direct linking would not allow the user to see the different portfolios with their different coverage ranges and select the…

create a book showcase without logging into Primo
It would be helpful if the book showcase could use a search/set from Alma, a collection ID, or a search URL from Primo, rather than a Primo saved search. We are not able to log into Alma with the same accounts we use in Primo.

Sort Favorites by Call Number, Library & Location
Patrons often use the Primo My Favorites function to build lists of titles that they want to retrieve from library stacks. Currently, the only sort options for these lists are Date Added, Title, and Author—none of which are particularly helpful for retrieval. Please consider expanding sort options to include Call Number, Library and Location?

Add the option to create a Primo AI Research Assistant search box
Add the option to create a Primo AI Research Assistant search box. Our library would like to create a Primo AI Research Assistant search box on our homepage. We were told this is not possible due to authentication issues and the lack of deep linking.

Search should be more forgiving of spelling errors/incorrect searches
We would like the search in Primo VE to be more forgiving in terms of spelling mistakes and incorrect searches, akin to other search engines, as this is what our users are mostly familiar with. For example, searching “Das Leid des jungen Werter” instead of “Die Leiden des jungen Werther” will find the searched for title on Google, Amazon as well as a local bookshops online platform, while on Primo VE, the book itself, of which we have several versions in our catalogue, is not found at all and only some related literature is shown. Another example would be “The…

DOI autofill on the Book Chapter request Resource Sharing form
We would like a DOI autofill feature for Book Chapter requests on the stand-alone Resource Sharing form on Primo NDE.
This already exists on the Article request RS form.3 votes -
Hold and Booking Request Form Needs More Customization
The Hold and Booking Request Form should have more customization options or branching logic to help libraries that have multiple branches.
For example, we have a main library and three branch libraries that are all on the same Primo discovery (we also have a law library that is on their own Primo). Our main library branch got book lockers last year for our users so they can easily pick up their holdings. However, user services noticed that some patrons were struggling to access higher or lower lockers. They asked if we could have a check box on the holdings request…

Allow Journal Categories to be Expanded by Default
Currently the categories on the Primo Journal search page show parent categories that must be expanded manually to see the nested categories (i.e. Social Sciences > Education). It would be helpful if all categories could be expanded by default or certain categories could be made more prominent if they are relevant to our library's population.
Thank you for considering this idea.

Option to have more than 5 results from Primo Research Assistant query
In the current release of Primo Research Assistant, it provides the 5 most relevant results with an instant overview. Sometimes, a query returns more than five highly relevant results. Hopefully, the Research Assistant will offer users the option to view more than 5 results in the future.

Add navigation to the top of the search results
Currently users need to scroll down the full page of results before being able to move to the next page of results. This becomes laborious if users have chosen to display 25 or 30 results per page.

Research Assistant
For AI declarations, it has become standard now for lecturers to ask their students for a chat link as proof of using an AI tool at a certain time.
It is currently not possible to share a chat link from a Primo Research Assistant search session. Please can the functionality of creating and sharing a chat link from a session be added.

Allow multiple custom CSS stylesheets per view
At the Digital Theological Library, we have multiple campuses, each of which has its own view. All of the views use the same basic custom design, but each one needs its own specific CSS tweaks. Maintaining this would be much simpler if all of the views could have two custom CSS files: one with the basic design rules and one with the specific design tweaks. That way, when the base design is updated, the view-specific CSS can't accidentally be disturbed by copying and pasting within a single stylesheet, and Primo UI managers like me won't need to copy and paste…

NZ/IZ linking in consortia
Background: MARC 776 is used to establish a link between related records (Also available in another form:). If a link cannot be established, a title search is started instead.
In a consortial environment, there is an issue with this: Primo VE is only able to establish a link if both the linking and the linked-to title are available locally. This happens because Primo depends on Alma functionality for related records to establish a link and Alma is building them within institution scope only (Network is considered just another institution in this regard). This means that as soon as only the…

Allow view configuration to exclude retracted and withdrawn articles from results list
The CDI Document Types labels and facets are valuable information. Now that we have that information, and the Document Types are also facets, can we please get the ability to set our discovery views to exclude these Retracted and Withdrawn articles (similarly to how we have the ability to set a view to exclude CDI ebook records)?
I set up our custom primo search box widget on our library website to exclude these two resource types by default, and I locked those facets so they aren't lost on the next search. You can search the Combined Search box on our…

Add alert to User Area (NDE) - My Library Activity for requests awaiting collection
The addition of an alert to the My Library Activity page of the User Area of Primo NDE when a request(s) is waiting collection by the user would be a welcome addition to this area. Please see attached document detailing how this proposed feature could appear.
