Add Electronic Service Information Update Job
Electronic Portfolios and Electronic Collections each have an Information Update job in Alma. Electronic services need the same functionality because they are also affected in bulk by changes.
Job Name: Change Electronic service information
Job Description: Update Electronic service information for a set of Electronic services
Job Content Type: Electronic Service
Job Type: Information UpdateUse Case: ProQuest began requiring a value for the CLIENTID parameter in the Linking Parser Parameters section of all ProQuest electronic services. With over 50 ProQuest electronic collections activated, that meant that over 50 electronic services had to be manually edited one at a time…

Add a Delete button for portfolios in the Community Zone Updates Task List
Could a "Delete" button be added to the set of available options when reviewing portfolios in the CZ Updates Task List? There are options to Test Access and Edit the portfolio, but in order to delete a portfolio you must leave the list and do a separate search. It would be much more efficient if there was an option to delete from within the list.

Make electronic collection portfolios searchable by MMS ID
Within an electronic collection, we would like the ability to search for portfolios using MMS ID. This would be useful for some maintenance tasks. Currently, it is only possible to search by Title, ISBN and ISSN.

Improve E-Resource Activation Task handling for additional copy ebook orders
Currently when an additional copy of an already active ebook is ordered, there is no e-resource task added to the Electronic Resource Activation Task List, since the resource is already active. However, we add interested users to almost all of our ebooks, and if there is no activation task, the interested users are never being notified.
If the ebook order is already on an active item, it would be nice if the interested users would automatically be notified, or just have an e-resource activation task added as normal to fulfill the process of notifying the interested users.2 votes -

Add CDI articles to (digital) collections
We'd like to be able to add individual articles to (digital) collections, as there are often articles which are relevant to the collection topic, but currently cannot be included, as only items with bib records in Alma can be added to collections.

Add Ebsco's Veterinary Source to the Community Zone
Ebsco offers a new database called Veterinary Source which isn't available as an electronic collection through the CZ. It would be great to have this database added.

Has Local Information on CZ Updates Task List shows up even when Global Coverage is being utilized instead
If a portfolio is using global coverage information, but has local coverage information remaining, the portfolio shows up in the CZ Updates Task List under "Has Local Information" when updates come in, even though local coverage is not being utilized. If local coverage is not selected, it would make more sense for it not to show up in the list since it's not being utilized and therefore does not really matter at that point.

Add portolios from CZ Updates Task List to associated collection in bulk
The Community Zone Updates Task List displays portfolios that were added to a non auto-active collection. But you can only handle these portfolios one by one. It would be helpful to select the desired portfolios and to add them in bulk to the associated collection.
The planned solution from ExLibris to manage collections as auto-active collections is not wanted because not all portfolios that are automatically activated are interesting to the library (e. g. when the library has a specific book stock and does not provide its readers with all scientific disciplines).1 vote -

Ability to put Mailto links in electronic portfolios within a collection.
We have vendors that have lots of individual titles that are associated with different products. We create electronic collections and add the portfolios. Users must email the provider to request an ID. While you can add a URL, you cannot add a mailto link in the general electronic service.

When deactivating a portfolio on a list of portfolios in an electronic collection your place in the list should be preserved
When deactivating a portfolio on a list of portfolios in an electronic collection your place in the list should be preserved. Right now it returns you to the top of the list each time.

Batch url checking for Portfolios in Electronic Collections
Can Alma test all of the links in all the Portfolios in an Electronic Collection, in batch, and report back a count of successes and fails?
AND (very importantly) give me list of the fails, so I can check/fix them?1 vote -
Limit task widget by library
We have more than one library in Alma, and our acquisitions processes are completely separate. I would like to be able to limit the task widget on the Alma homepage by library and only see electronic resource activation tasks that belong to my library. For example, I only want to see the "Activation" tasks where the PO Line Owner is my library.

Ability to edit the full text service for a collection after it's been activated
We need the ability to edit a collection's Full text service to "Automatically activate new portfolios" after it's already been activated. We had a number of collections that were activated incorrectly during migration but didn't discover that until a year later because it took awhile for meaningful CZ changes to occur where we were finally able to determine whether migrated collections were configured correctly. There is nothing (?) in the collection record to indicate what service was activated. We're not able to change the full text service without reactivating the collection again which creates duplicates and involve too much retrospective…

Adding collection URL to Alma publishing
When a bibliographic record that describes an aggregator package is published, the URL from the collection level is not included. No portfolios are attached to such records. We would like to be able to export access details from a collection in a publishing job.

Assign to
In the "Electronic Resource Activation Task List" the list can only be assigned to specific users (or unassigned so everyone can see it), it would be nice to be able to assign it to a group of people, (perhaps by user role profiles, or a new profile type of 'group user' that links other profiles together, like user role profiles) as different tasks fall on different areas of the department.
This would also be helpful in "Reading Lists Task List", as in our case it is location specific handling of the tasks.
