  1. Alma Analytics> Fulfillment> notification sent indicators

In the Alma Analytics Fulfillment subject area, there is a "Courtesy Notification Sent" indicator field.

I would appreciate similar indicator fields for the other types of notifications sent to the user for the transaction, such as the "Ful Overdue and Lost Loan Letter", the "Ful Overdue Lost Loan Notification Letter," and the "Return Receipt" letter.

It would be helpful to confirm that Alma generated each letter for the user, for the transaction.

Since we have a retention period set on how long each letter copy will stay on the patron's attachments tab, it is possible that the patron may still…

  2. Add all fields from Invoice Payment Information area to Analytics

Currently the only field from the Invoice Payment Information area that is available in the Funds Expenditure subject area is Payment Status. I would like to be able to retrieve Payment Date, Payment Identifier, and Payment Amount in Analytics as well. These would be helpful for some of my reporting, especially when the payment amount is different from the invoice total because accounts payable has added or removed tax.

  3. Subject Area "Alma Jobs" for Analytics

At the moment it is not possible to (easily) get data from the jobs running in Alma. The exports that can be pulled from "Monitor Jobs" are rather useless as they hardly contain data.
If I want numbers of processed records, runtimes etc. I have to use the API and still need to do a lot of manual work on that results.
It would be great to have a subject area in Analytics that cointains all the information from the "Job Report".

  4. Need a way to look at collections (all formats) in ways other than LC Class

In many out-of-the-box analytics, the capacity to look at content by LC Class exists. However, LC Class doesn't capture the interdisciplinary nature of some areas of study. Additionally, not all e-resource vendors provide LC classes for eBooks.

Could it be that one way of achieving this is through assigning titles to collections? This would seem to work since titles of all formats can be assigned to collections in Alma. If Primo does not currently allow for subject-specific "profiles," this would also achieve that functionality since collections can be turned on as a facet.

The most basic problem to this approach…

  5. Add Full Call Number to E-Inventory Subject Area in Analytics for Portfolios

For e-inventory portfolios, a number of vendors provide an LC call number in the 050 of item’s bibliographic record.
However, currently, the most complete LC call number field available for the E-Inventory subject area in Analytics is the LC Classification Top Line field. This, however, only stores the combined LC code and classification numbers up-to the first period ; and does not include cutter numbers after the top line. There are no other field in this subject area that was mapped to this latter part of the call number such that it might be possible to combine the two fields…

  6. Please add location field to the subject area "Funds expenditure"

At the moment the location field is missing in the subject area "Funds expenditure". We need this field for a report for e.g. open orders. It is only possible to create a report on the library level.

  7. Additional relationships for 'based on results of another analysis' filter

It would be useful to be able to apply the following relationships when a filter is created using the operator 'is based on results of another analysis':

    • contains any
    • does not contain

Currently it is only possible to apply the relationships 'is equal to' and 'is not equal to' (as well as 'is less/greater than', etc). This means that it is not possible to use this operator unless the values in the specified column are identical in each report. This is not always the case, for example the Bibliographic Details > ISBN column will in most cases contain multiple, comma…

  9. Alma needs ti have the ability to identify bib, holdings, and item records created by individual staff operators.

The MDE shows the operator of various versions of a bib record. When a bib record is imported via an import profile that creates inventory, however, the staff operator that ran the import is not identified as the creator of the bib, holding, and/or item record. We often did Access queries in Voyager to identify bibs, holdings, or item records created or modified by particular staff members or student assistants. I can see that we could do such a report from Alma on bib record operators of versions after the initial import and I can also see in the Item…

  10. Add primary/user id of a Interested User as a Fund Expenditure Facet

Several Institutions have use cases that require the need to find the Primary ID of an interested User. This would allow an easier means of utilizing feeder reports in conjunction with the Fulfilment Subject Area. Currently, there is no easy way to obtain this information. Credit goes to Jihyun Song of Soul National Unversity for presenting this issue.

  11. Statistical Categories (Crossover between Fulfillment & Users Subject Areas

Here is my problem. We want our statistical categories linked to Fulfillment. We want to know how many patrons pursuing a Nursing degree are checking out items from the library? Itt does us no good to have data on who is pursuing a nursing degree in the users section, but not be able to link that in the fulfillment section. Because of the design of the statistical categories and the fact that we do not have a way to import every possible degree, job ID, etc. and keep the list up-to-date as it changes, this is how we have them…

  12. Ability to report on Note (5XX) fields - bibliographic details folder/dimension

We request that the Bibliographic Details dimension in Alma Analytics have an entry added for Notes, wherever the Subject Area has "Bibliographic Details" presented. This Notes attribute should include all 5XX fields and subfields in the bib record. The data should use a separator (e.g., ;) to identify the information from different and repeated 5XX fields. This is useful information for libraries for reporting purposes.

  13. When there are multiple entries in same field, allow Alma analytics to export data meets certain criteria

It is found that value is incomplete in Network number field if the number of characters is exceed 256.

    E.g.
Record (CKB)2670000000194915 has multiple 035 fields. When export network number field, all following values are missing:
    (PQKBTitleCode)TC0000767305; (PQKBManifestationID)12331889; (SSID)ssj0000767305; (PQKB)10065432; (PQKBWorkID)14881543; (PQKBTitleCode)TC0001591939; (PQKBManifestationID)16288727; (SSID)ssj0001591939; (OCoLC)793110778; (EBL)1033794; (CKB)2670000000194915

It would be very helpful if I can export only data begins with (CKB), etc.

  14. Customization for labels on locally defined LOCAL PARAM subject areas

Our library requested to have a LOCAL PARAM defined in Alma Analytics. We asked ExLibris to map the 983 field to this field in Analytics so that we could easily run reports using information in this field. However, it is not currently possible to modify the label so as to easily remember/know that this field has been locally defined. Also, as we define more fields, it becomes cumbersome to know which field belongs to which mapped field.

  15. Analytics: Retain the External ID even when the item is canceled in Resource Sharing

Retain the External ID even when the item is canceled in Resource Sharing.

Retain the Ex ID even if the item is canceled. The reason we would like the Ex ID is because it is a patterned identifier and that makes it easy to limit down, where to us the internal ID is just a string of random numbers. Our goal is to be able to run reports on either the Lending or Borrowing Request subject areas in one set. If we need to run some on Ex ID to get the Borrowing and Lending sides to match up and…

  16. Analytics - extract only the 13-digit ISBNs from the ISBN Valid field

Can you make it possible to only have the 13-digit ISBNs show up in 1 column from the ISBN Valid field?
There's probably a regex somewhere to do that?

  17. Alma Analytics: Add "Pickup Location" to the Borrowing Requests Subject Area

We need tp know which local library locations requested how many items from each Lending institution in an analytic report. When Borrowing requests first go out go out we can easily see which of our, let's say 4, different library pick up locations ordered each item by looking at the pick up location parameter in the facets, The pick up location is even maintained in Alma once the item is filled. But it is not available in the Borrowing Request subject area of the analytic. We can only get an aggregate campus total for requests borrowed from each Lending Institution.…

  18. Add Original cataloging agency to Design analytics

In Alma June 2019 release, Original cataloging agency search index was introduced. I'd like to recommend adding this as an element in Analytics. This will help us generate statistics of original cataloging vs. copy cataloging. Thank you!

  19. Analytics - Ability take indicators and subfields into account when adding local (hol) parameters

At the moment it is not possible to take indicators and subfields into account when asking Ex Libris to add local (hol) parameters for Analytics.
That's very unfortunate as it can lead to an extremely cluttered output for the field that makes it impossible to use.

As "normal" bibliographic fields however are filtered by subfields we'd like ExL to make this possible for the local parameters, too.

  20. In Analytics allow an option to split ISBNs into single entries in one column

At present we get all the ISBNs attached to a record in one cell separated by a semicolon. A function that would allow for the string to display in one column but as separate cells would allow for easier processing once exported to Excel.

At present the layout displays as

    Title: Author : ISBN1;ISBN2;ISBN3:

What would help is to have the option to switch to

    Title: Author: ISBN1:
    Title: Author: ISBN2:
    Title: Author: ISBN3:

This would mean using functions such as V lookup could be performed far more smoothly.
