  1. Make Alma recognize "Primary Identifier" when creating a set of users

    Every time anyone creates an Analytics report on users, if they want it to be usable in Alma via "Create Set," they have to rename the first column of the Analytics report to "Username," which is not a field in the Users subject area in Analytics.

    Make the Alma UI accept "Primary Identifier" as a recognized unique identifier so that we can use it to pull User sets from Analytics into Alma.

  2. Include the full physical item's History - Item Changes in analytics

    Analytics captures a Physical Item's Modified By and Modification Date, however this only tracks the most recent change to an item, and it does not describe the change made.

    I'm hoping Analytics can be expanded to include all of the detail that can be found on the item's History - Item Changes report within Alma, including:

    Date
    Operator
    Field Name
    Old Value
    *New Value

  3. Retain Course Reserves info in Alma Analytics

    It would be helpful if the system would retain information about course reserves in Analytics, even after things are deleted in Alma. It would be useful to be able to look back over various terms and see what courses were run and when.

  4. Ability to run Analytics reports on Alma Configuration settings

    It would be exceptionally helpful to be able to run Analytics reports on all areas of Alma Configuration.

    It should be possible both for each individual library to run the reports on their own behalf, AND for libraries belong to a consortium, possible for consortial staff to run the reports across all institution zones simultaneously for comparison between member IZs.

    Use cases:
    1) Reviewing a spreadsheet containing all of the settings in a configuration area makes settings review easier, and reduces errors. Needing to click between screens and take screenshot to compare settings is cumbersome, and leads to mistakes or…

  5. Cost Per Use *by fund* Report for Electronic Collections (Databases)

    Problem: We are looking for a way to run a cost usage report by fund that includes titles with the PO Line Type ‘Name of Electronic Collection - Subscription.’

    Description: Our library evaluates cost per use of all serials by fund. We have been able to run a cost per use report by fund for our print and electronic journals. We run into a roadblock, however, when we try to generate a report on the cost/use of a database by fund.

  6. Add Data Type category for the Title Report in COUNTER 5 section of analytics

    The Master Title Report of COUNTER 5 includes ebook and journal titles. It is difficult to use this master report in analytics without having a data type or section type option to differentiate between which titles are journals and which are ebooks. The master title report is useless in analytics without this option. Please add the data type or section type category from the COUNTER 5 Master Title Report into the Analytics Usage Report.

  7. Please add Analytics to the Ex Libris System Status page

    We appreciate the emails about service interruptions with Analytics however these notices can get lost in deluge of email. It would be optimal to have quick visual besides the little green informational "i" on whether Alma and Primo Analytics are nominal on https://status.exlibrisgroup.com/

  8. Fix Analytics request creator field to stop it changing to Alma staff primary ID when request cancelled on Alma

    When a user places a request on Primo, the ‘creator’ field in the Analytics requests table shows as ‘System’. When a request is placed by a staff member on Alma, the staff member’s primary ID shows in the creator field.

    If a request placed by a user on Primo is subsequently cancelled by a staff member on Alma, the creator field changes from System to the staff member’s primary ID. This means reporting on requests placed on Primo vs. requests placed by staff members on Alma is not accurate and the field is misleading (creator should refer only to creator).

  10. Analytics - Sub-collections parameter (Digital)

    Please add some Sub-collection related parameters. In present analytics does not reflect the hierarchical structure at all so users should know the PIDs of end-collections. Maybe the path of the collection (from the top collection to itself) would be helpful too.

  12. Add Collection related subject area/dimensions/parameters in Analytics

    Please elaborate Collection in Analytics. We suggest three ideas for that;

    Idea 1)
    Collection can be a separate dimension, with the existing/new parameters below;
    - Collection ID (existing)
    - Collection Name (existing)
    - Collection External System
    - Collection External ID
    - Collection MMS ID (of the collection's BIB itself)
    - ★★★ The PIDs of the collection's direct sub-collections (in different rows, not combined with semicolons; should be repeatable so that the created report can show the hierarchical structure of whole collections)
    - Collection level (the depth)
    - Collection Path (from the collection's top level collection to itself)

    We have begun to investigate this more in depth and thank you very much for your three suggestions of how this can be implemented. In order to decide how best to implement this it would be useful to first know what “business needs” you are trying to address. What types of reports are you looking to create? What information do you need to get and what types of reports do you want?. Note that today the bibliographic details folder already has the collection ID and collection name.

  13. Add Access Model to PO Line reporting

    PO Lines for Electronic Books contain a field, Access Model, which allows libraries to register the access arrangements we have, e.g. 1-users, 3-users, unlimited, etc.

    This has the potential to be a very useful field, but it is not currently available when running reports for PO Line information in Alma Analytics.

    Can it be added please?

  14. Add number of titles measure to Physical Items subject area

    Reporting an accurate number of titles for the physical collection for ACRL stats is unnecessarily difficult. Please a number of titles metric to the Physical Items subject area in addition to number of items. This would eliminate the need to use formulas to count distinct identifiers.

  15. Analytics on Sandbox

    Having the flexibility to build analytics on our premium sandbox would be beneficial two fold. First, it would allow us to fully test processes on our test system using analytics reporting we intend to use in production. Second, it would allow us to work through data changes and the related reporting without having to disrupt live production data.

  16. Analytics' job history activation

    On Analytics, the job history is not accessible. It would be interesting to give access to this feature, for instance when developing a new report, it is sometimes good to have the history of what has been done. Thanks.

  17. Add Related Record MARC fields 76X thru 78X to Analytics

    Library personnel would like to be able to generate a list of titles and related records in Analytics so as to document title changes, facilitate research and scholarly discovery and develop research guides for use within the institution. At this time, the 76X and 78X fields that are used to display various related record types in Primo VE are not currently indexed in Analytics. Rather than use up the limited number of bibliographic local param fields available – which would still not allow for full reporting on related records – our institution proposes that the aforementioned fields and associated data…

  19. Disable a filter in Analytics, currently can delete only

    Right now to turn "off" a filter in Analytics, it seems that you have to delete it. However, sometimes when experimenting with a list, it would be useful to be able to temporarily disable/enable a filter as opposed to having to delete and remake it.
