  1. Add Licensing Agent field to results info

    It would be beneficial to have the Licensing Agent field included in the columns when viewing results in license searches. Currently the License Code is present, but including the Licensing Agent field would be very useful.

  2. Rename Review and Approve functions in Acquisitons menu of new Alma Layout

    The Acquisitions Menu has some items with exactly the same name in the different sub-menus. When these show as Quick Links, it is impossible to tell which general function it will work with,

    Please rename Review and Approve to
    Review POL (or Purchase Order Line)
    Review PO (or Purchase Order)
    Review Invoice
    Approve PO (or Purchase Order)
    Approve Invoice

  3. POL and its communication must be sent to account provider email

    At the moment in ALMA, if a POL has a communication:
    • the POL is sent in a first notification to accound provider email
    • the communication (with its file attached) is sent in a second notification to provider email.
    This behavour is not logical and doesn't respond to our need.
    Our request : POL and communication (with files attached) must be sent to accound provider email in one notification.

  4. Specify time period for SUSHI harvests

    When you manually request a particular SUSHI account/report to be harvested by Alma, by default Alma requests any data which it hasn't already loaded for that account from the last 12 months. If there are multiple months in sequence missing, Alma requests the data for these months together as a single SUSHI request.

    This is an inflexible system.
    Instead, at the point where a user requests a harvest, Alma should ask the user to specify the time period they would like to request.

    This would have several advantages:

  5. Make the "Has Content" indicator responsive not just to tables and lists, but also to fields and drop-down options

    The "Has Content" indication appears only when a table or list on the tab contains contents, but not if it has information in the "form section" (https://www.screencast.com/t/F7G5uKmvcnh). Some tabs (e.g., Licenses> License Details > License Terms) only have a form section though, so the "Has Content" indicator will never appear regardless of whether it contains populated fields.

  6. Allow filtering of the task list by invoice number

    This will enable a more streamlined workflow. All the tasks on an invoice number can be quickly identified without needing to enter each individual title.

    Zero-Dollar Invoice Line from No-Charge PO Lines?

    For subscriptions and standing orders--and in particular for memberships that are one price for 2 or more titles--it would be great to have the ability to include no-charge PO Lines on invoices alongside the membership line that carries the payment. This would keep the payment and the related titles in one place. Right now we have a bunch of no-charge titles that were 'invoiced' at $1.00, which affects the accuracy of our expenditures reporting. This is annoying now, but if Alma ever interfaces with our campus accounting system this will be a significant…

  8. Improved facets in Alma - Include/Exclude plus the ability to select multiple facets

    After searching in Alma, it would be great if we have the ability to further refine searching with facets that allow for the selection of multiple selections, as well as offering the ability to exclude or includes. For example, when searching a POL now, my facets for Status include In Review, Waiting for Renewal, Waiting for Manual Renewal, etc. I would like to either exclude two facets, or include 5 facets, but now I have to select one facet, review, then clear that facet and select the next one.

  9. Receiving items without creating a barcode by location

    We have a location for our current periodicals. We check in a current issues here but will normally not add a barcode to these item records. We looked for a way to set this location to not ask about creating a new item without a barcode. We found a seeting in Acquisitions -> Receiving Department Validations, which can be set as not check if item has a barcode. But it will remove barcode validation from ALL locations.

    That is not what we need. I would want to make sure that books being received get barcode validation and bound periodicals as…

  10. Possibility for turning off Auto-Assigning in task list when opening or editing an item without completing the task in the Alma Config.

    When working in several different task-lists in Alma, you are automatically assigned to any Item that you open and/or edit and exit out of without completing the task. This applies to items in the Purchase Request, Invoices (in Review) and Electronic Activation Task list and more.

    This may be perfectly logical for certain institutions' workflows, but for others it may be cumbersome to have this across all task lists.

    It would be great to have the ability to turn this auto-assigning on or off for the different task lists in the Alma Configuration so that people could open/edit and close…

  11. Purchase Requests: Create 'Archived' Tab?

    Purpose: Purchase Request Management. To retain complete request history, whether approved/ordered or rejected, in a group separate from new, not-yet-assigned requests.

    Controls needed: 'Archive' operation added to the Row Action Menu. Full ability to move archived requests out of the archived condition and back into the 'unassigned' state and condition, or to delete.

  12. Trials set up on one portfolio : survey form > portfolios tab -> only this single portfolio should display

    At the moment, when we set up a trial on one portfolio included in the collection X, if participants display the Portfolio tab of the survey form, all the portfolios of the collection X appear. What is very confusing for participants.

  13. Re-assign a SUSHI 5 account

    Suppose you assign a COUNTER 5 SUSHI account for a specific vendor. You discover later that the SUSHI account should be set to a different vendor. You delete your vendor account and remove the SUSHI account. When you try to assign the SUSHI account to the correct vendor, you get an error message. The SUSHI job runs for the account regardless of whether or not it is on the correct vendor record. Please make it possible to re-assign a SUSHI account to a vendor record when you make a mistake.   15. Alma task lists: "Assign to me" and bulk actions

    In Alma task lists ...


    • Electronic resources - activation - unassigned (Electronic Resource Activation Task List)

    • Order Lines - review - unassigned (Purchase Order Lines in Review)

    • Invoices - review - unassigned (In Review Invoices)

    ... there is only a row action ("..." button) to start the "Assign to" dialog which opens a pop-up window where you can select a user. Our colleagues are not satisfied with this cumbersome assignment functionality.

    The missing functionalities are:
    (1) a one-click "Assign to me" button
    (2) a bulk functionality for "Assign to" and "Assign to me" (it is already possible to mark several…

  17. Setting a pickup location for interested users

    It would be nice to set the pickup location as you do with requests. Currently the item goes to the "owning library" and the pickup is set there. We have Faculty that prefer different libraries for pickup so if a book is purchased but we allocated it to a Science Library but the faculty goes to a different library we can't set the pickup for that item.

  18. Link holdings when creating an order for an existing physical standing order.

    Currently when a new order is created for an existing standing order, with "Assign inventory manually" checked, the user has to create the POL then exit before entering the supplier, price, fund code, and other information.
    The POL then has to be linked to the holdings, which is an entirely separate process. Only when this is done can the necessary order information be entered.
    Allowing the user to link to existing holdings as part of creating the order would make this a much more seamless process.

  20. Hyperlink and give status of invoices that are listed under a particular vendor the same way they are when In Review or In Approval.

    Invoices are currently hyperlinked when they are listed in a In Review or In Approval queue. Not so, when you are looking at invoices under a certain vendor, nor is their status indicated if they are In Review, In Approval, Waiting for Payment or Closed. When researching a certain vendors invoices, it is sometimes necessary to look at a number of invoices in a row, which is not currently possible, because you have to cut and past and when you look at one invoice and try to go back, it bumps you into a queue totally unrelated to your search…
