  1. Option to configure interested user notification for ebooks to be sent when activation task changed to Done rather than when Activated

    We would like the ability to configure when our interested user notifications are sent for ebooks. We would like the option to send these when the activation task is changed to Done in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List instead of when the ebooks are activated. This would give us the opportunity to check the ebook portfolio links and bibliographic records for our Rialto purchased ebooks before the notifications are sent to the interested users.

  2. More descriptive detail on error Alerts tab

    Provide useful details of errors on the Alerts tab where compulsory information missing or erroneous, and link to, or just details of, the field in question.

  3. Display new Library Review request in the Task List

    Hello, I am a new customer so this may already be possible... but it would be a great help if whenever a new Library Review is requested to be able to quickly see it in the task list.
    It would also handy if you could run a report of all completed reviews. Thanks

  4. Possibility to see cancelled resources in alma, as a real ERM system

    Make it possible in a good way to see cancelled resources, to add notes and information. To have a history of cancellatioans. Like a real ERM system

  5. Add usage statistics -field for other statistics than Counter

    A need for a new Usage Statistics -field that could be used for usage statistics other than Counter. Smaller e-journal etc. publishers don't have Sushi statistics but libraries collect usage data another way. The new usage statistics field should be for every year. The Usage Statistics -field should work on the Analytics. Statistics notes -field is also required.

  6. Allow default filter settings in searches to be customised

    Dear creative minds,

    There are many search bars in ALMA that have default filter settings. Depending on personal preference and work tasks, the default is not always practical. Time and time again I need to change the filter settings to my particular preference or need. Not efficient in terms of mouse clicks and time!

    This issue is conspicuously time and click-consuming when one tries to add a closed PO line to a portfolio, collection or associate it to another PO line. The default filter is set to 'Active' PO lines, so closed PO lines will not be searched. One needs…

  7. Add item policy to the summary tab in Acquisitions when placing an order

    It would be useful to have the library, physical location and item policy on the same page when creating an order. At the moment when ordering a print item we add the library and physical item location and then have to go back and click on the library to enter the item policy which creates an extra click.

  8. Allow the rollover of a set of POLs or the results of an Alma Analytics query

    It would be nice to be able to roll just a set of of orders, not individual POLs, or specific types of POLs. In our case, we have two libraries that prefer to have their orders rolled over on encumbrance, and the remainder on expenditure plus an FPC factor. We tried doing this this year by separately rolling the specific library's ledger and then associated POLs, but it took days. I think the issue is that it is trying and failing to roll every other active POL, and then just failing on those that do not yet have active funds.…

  9. Make the "License ID" visible in Alma

    My team was trying to investigate ways to make sets for a project regarding our licenses and thought using the License ID would be great, but it's frustrating since we can't even see what the License ID actually is unless you find it in an Analytics report and search for it. In Analytics, you can add a column to show the "License ID", but are unable to view that in Alma. I think if it's viewable in Analytics and it's also a searchable field in Alma, it would make sense to make it an option to view in Alma as…

  10. Allow harvesting of reports with the non-standard SN:Total_Chapter_Request metric

    I noticed that some vendors - Taylor and Francis and Springer- are adding this non-standard metric - SN:TotalChapterRequest - to their TR Master Reports. These are 2 big vendors, and these TR master reports won't load into Alma with this nonstandard metric in them.. I was hoping there is a way to accommodate them and allow them to load.

  11. Trial : request of a Trial viewer role

    There are 3 roles about Trials : administrator, operator and participant.
    But none gives access to the Trials and all information with only option to view (and not delete neither modify datas).
    A license viewer role exists in ALMA ; we request a similar Trial viewer role.

  12. Improved facets in Alma - Include/Exclude plus the ability to select multiple facets

    After searching in Alma, it would be great if we have the ability to further refine searching with facets that allow for the selection of multiple selections, as well as offering the ability to exclude or includes. For example, when searching a POL now, my facets for Status include In Review, Waiting for Renewal, Waiting for Manual Renewal, etc. I would like to either exclude two facets, or include 5 facets, but now I have to select one facet, review, then clear that facet and select the next one.

    Multi-select facets are supported in Alma’s new UX searches, including Holdings, Borrowing requests, Lending requests and PO Lines, and will become supported in other searches as they are gradually moved to our new UX. Excluding facets will also be gradually added to new UX searches.

  13. Possibility for turning off Auto-Assigning in task list when opening or editing an item without completing the task in the Alma Config.

    When working in several different task-lists in Alma, you are automatically assigned to any Item that you open and/or edit and exit out of without completing the task. This applies to items in the Purchase Request, Invoices (in Review) and Electronic Activation Task list and more.

    This may be perfectly logical for certain institutions' workflows, but for others it may be cumbersome to have this across all task lists.

    It would be great to have the ability to turn this auto-assigning on or off for the different task lists in the Alma Configuration so that people could open/edit and close…

  14. Setting a pickup location for interested users

    It would be nice to set the pickup location as you do with requests. Currently the item goes to the "owning library" and the pickup is set there. We have Faculty that prefer different libraries for pickup so if a book is purchased but we allocated it to a Science Library but the faculty goes to a different library we can't set the pickup for that item.

  15. Ability to store & track VPAT® documents

    As part of the procurement or licensing process, many libraries may request that a vendor provide a VPAT® (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) in order to indicate their compliance with Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act. It would be desirable if functionality could be developed somewhere in Alma that would allow libraries to track & report whether/when a VPAT was requested and received, which VPAT version was used, and local notes related to accessibility testing.

  16. Purchase Requests: Create 'Archived' Tab?

    Purpose: Purchase Request Management. To retain complete request history, whether approved/ordered or rejected, in a group separate from new, not-yet-assigned requests.

    Controls needed: 'Archive' operation added to the Row Action Menu. Full ability to move archived requests out of the archived condition and back into the 'unassigned' state and condition, or to delete.

    As many serials subscription ranges begin with the next calendar year, add NEXT YEAR as an option in the Subscription Date Range date picker. NEXT YEAR would start 1/1/[NEXTCALENDARYEAR] and end 12/31/[NEXTCALENDARYEAR].

  18. Preset item policy for subscription PO Lines

    Having the ability to set an item policy for a subscription PO Line would save time and trouble. Currently, when a serials item is received (checked in), one must go into the individual item record to set the item policy. Too many clicks. Also, if someone else is checking in serials, they might forget about this additional step. If someone tries to check out an item, will the person at circulation know that it is in-library use only, 3-day use or 14-day use?

  19. PO Line and invoice attachments: Upload/View/Edit/Delete - additional user roles needed

    It is possible to upload attachments to a PO Line or an invoice. These attachements can be viewed, edited and deleted as well.

    In case of using Alma as (the only) data storage for e.g. invoice PDFs, it is very important that attachments can be deleted only by specially privileged staff users. Deletion might be necessery e.g. because of erroneous uploads.

    Looking into the 'Roles Reports' shows that there is no 'Delete' option listed (so Edit means also Delete):

  20. Separate amount and its currency into two columns when exporting to excel

    In the pages of Funds and Ledgers, we would propose to separate amount and its currency into two columns when exporting the file, which would be easy to perform calculations in excel.
