Ability to create URL redirects for deleted collections
Alma offers institutions the ability to create collections to facilitate discovery and access to groups of related resources. In addition to being displayed on the Collections Lobby page, collections can be made accessible via direct links on websites, research guides, or course syllabi. However, when a collection is deleted, any links or bookmarks to that collection are broken. To avoid this, customers should have the ability to configure redirects for collection page URLs that can be used to route visitors to another page.

Include subfield k from 245 in title index (important for manuscripts/archives)
Subfield k of the 245 title field should always be indexed. Currently, it is only indexed when subfield a is absent. OCLC makes clear that both subfields may be used together: "Use subfield ǂk also to indicate "form" even if a formal title is given in subfields ǂa, ǂb, and ǂc." From: https://www.oclc.org/bibformats/en/2xx/245.html
This subfield is important for manuscripts and archives. Examples from OCLC:
245 ǂa Four years at Yale : ǂk diaries, ǂf 1903 September 16-1907 October 5
245 ǂa The charity ball : ǂb a comedy in four acts : ǂk typescript, ǂf 1889 / ǂc by David…

Preference of links from link resolver over link in record in brief results for merged records
When one or more of the records in a merged group is coming from a collection using the link resolver, and other records are coming from collections using the link in the record, the link in record type of link is always displayed in the brief result list. It should be possible to choose to always display a link resolver type of link instead.

Sorting of collection page witch contains only subcollections
When in Alma a collection page contains only subcollections, in Primo, default sort will be "Relevance", with option to change to title.
If the collection page contains only Titles default sort will be "Sort titles by" value set in the Discovery tab of the Collection Resource Editor, with options to change to any sort that is available in the search results page results. It would be very desirable if the sorting setting in Alma would take effect for a collection page containing only subcollections, so that you could sort the subcollections not only by relevance but also alphabetically.

Dedup and FRBR cluster monitoring
Since BIRT reports in back office are being deprecated and they are not available in VE, those who implement Dedup or FRBR will have no way to monitor the clusters that goes beyond what's currently in analytics (just a report of cluster sizes). Size of clusters is important, but when "impossibly large" clusters form (we recently noticed many, up to 89 members!), we need to be able to see the records forming the cluster in order to diagnose problems. The BIRT tool is way too slow and unwieldly for this purpose but provides useful information: contents of the fields that…

We would like the ability to weight certain PCI results higher than others (ie. Hathitrust)
We have an example journal of Index Medicus. When we search this record in our blended local and PCI search the hathitrust PCI record does not display until the 3rd-4th page: https://purdue-primo-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo-explore/search?query=any,contains,index%20medicus&tab=default_tab&search_scope=everything&sortby=rank&vid=PURDUE&mode=Basic&offset=0
If we want to withdraw the print record, because it is available in hathitrust, having this on the 3rd-4th page is not acceptable. We would like the ability to boost or weight certain PCI resources, based on the collection name, higher within our results.
This request seems somewhat related to:

Thanks!

Pre-filter for Primo database search
Please add pre-filters to the Primo database search to allow users to filter their results prior to performing a search (as it is possible for a general Primo search).
This would be very helpful for e.g. database types (bibliographies, dictonaries, subject gateways, reference works, etc.) or other database indicators like "Open Access", "Full Text database", "Database supports OpenURL", etc.
It should be possible to use these pre-filters in combination with all database search options:
- search for a keyword
- A to Z index search
- Category search
and choosen pre-filters should remain for the session (like the "sticky" facets),…29 votes -
Make the path shorter to change PIN code for self check
One of the most frequent problems our borrowers have is that they have forgotten the pin code they use when borrowing books at the self check machine. We prefer that they change it themselves by logging into their account, but doing that is rather cumbersome. The function is hidden under My library account/Settings/Address/language settings/Update login credentails. It could instead be placed in the menu or lifted so that it appears before the adress and language settings.

Make search selections "sticky" when navigating from page to page
When a patron is creating a resource list to email or save, they may wish to include items from more than one page of search results. Currently, if they select items on page 1 and the navigate to page 2 they lose any selections from page 1. The only way to retain selections is to pin them page by page. This is time consuming and can limit the flow of finding resources. Can selections of search results be "sticky" so they stay when the patron navigates from one page of results to the next?

Display tag for Open Educational Resources for CZ and IZ records in Primo
Open Educational Resources tags in CDI records are clearly displayed in Primo VE (e.g. Pressbooks titles). I would like to see this tag extended to include CZ and IZ records for open educational resources in a similar way to how we make the Open Access icon display in Primo.

NDE My Account Loans: Option to show more than 10
In the previous UI for VE, users were able to load more of their loans when viewing their account. This list could then exported. In the NDE users are limited to viewing 10 loans at a time, thus they can only export 10 at a time. Either the loans list should be updated to allow the user to increase the number of loans viewable at a time (up to 50, similar to search results), or have an option to generate a list of loans either in the browser or as an export.

Display the resource types filter bar in Primo NDE advanced search results
In the pre-NDE UI of Primo VE, the resource types filter bar was displayed inside the basic search bar at the top of the page, just under the search term input field. It functioned primarily as a pre-search filter. As such, it made logical sense that one wouldn't see the filter bar after conducting an advanced search.
But in NDE, the filter bar appears just above the search results. It only shows up once the results have loaded, so it's only possible to use it as a post-search filter. Despite this difference of use in NDE, the resource types filter…

"Search inside" option in PrimoVE for Journal titles - prevent this option for print only titles
Currently in PrimoVE, when a journal title search is undertaken for a title that is held in print format only, the "search inside" option is present. This is extremely misleading for users. If they undertake a search using this function, where the title is held in print format only, the user is shown articles from other titles.
Our idea therefore seeks that the leader, 007, 008 marc fields are used to identify when the title is a print only title and therefore prevent the "search inside" option from appearing against such titles in PrimoVE.26 votes -
Privacy in patron letters
Currently, patrons receive detailed item information in patron letters. We would like to make it possible for patrons to turn off letters (such as when they do not want this detailed information living in their email accounts).
In testing, we found that the current 'Personal Details' configuration in Alma (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Product_Documentation/020Primo_VE/Primo_VE_(English)/060Library_Card_Configuration/Configuring_Personal_Details_Settings_for_Primo_VE) does not allow us to limit patron changes to ONLY the notification preferences.

Can the feedbacktool for Primo VE provide more information about the end user
Referring to the Idea : https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/45653308-the-new-give-us-feedback-tool-should-provide-infor that has been closed, our question is: can the information be provided whether the user is signed in.
If there is a single sign on of the proxy with Primo, this information is also useful when handling issues with access to e-resources.

Resource Recommender Statistics for Individual Items
Primo Analytics for Resource Recommender analytics currently shows only number of selections by resource category but not for individual records within each category. We would like to use detailed statistics for annual usage review and and RR maintenance. Particularly for databases, we would like a more straightforward option to see clicks through RR.
From two previous ideas that were both closed: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/30982855-better-analytics-for-resource-recommender-to-tell#{toggle_previous_statuses}

Feedbacktool to provide extra info from the Primo record in the Subject of the message
Additional context information of the record such as the source (Alma, CDI, external source) allows problem reports to be dispatched more efficiently to the relevant person / service that can solve the problem.
Our use case is the following: external sources (like institutional repository, archives,..) that are imported into the library catalogue are not managed in Alma. Questions about these records need to be forwarded to the managers of these sources, often to other departments outside of the library. The user is usually not able to make this distinction between records of different sources, so the use of categories is…

Improve Primo VE searching in non-roman script so definite article prefixes are appropriately counted as non-filing characters
Arabic and Hebrew print titles beginning with the definite article prefix (like English "the") cannot be retrieved in Primo VE unless that initial definite article is included in the search. This is true even when the linked 880 with non-roman script has the number of nonfiling characters coded correctly in the subfield indicator in the bibliographic record
Example:
245 13$6880-02 $aal-Mabānī al-Kanʻānīyah fī Filasṭīn / $cNimr Sirḥān.
880 12$6245-02/(3/r $aالمباني الكنعانية في فلسطين / $cنمر سرحان.Without the initial definite article, the search comes up empty or retrieves only records from the CDI, but not the sought print materials present…
