Add Last Login attribute to Users subject area in Analytics
The current Staff Login Report in Alma Configuration is of limited use, in that it doesn't provide additional details about users beyond Primary ID and last login date. In Analytics, we can find full details about named users, but cannot determine which accounts are actively used without the "Last Login Date" field.
We would like to see the Last Login Date--i.e., the last date a user logged in to Alma to perform staff activity--added as an attribute to the Users subject area in Analytics. Having this date along with users roles and expiration dates will help our libraries better manage…

Add address parameters to update/notify user job
We are a library in an institution that has one library but several locations/physical campuses. The students order material in Primo, and we send material from the library to the students by post (internal system) to their location.
The issue is that our SIS (Student information system) does not seperate the students by locaton, and does not offer any indication to where the stuydent is located in the user profile import to Alma. As it is, we have no possibility to see whether a student is located at the same campus as the library or at one of the others.

Automatically attach the circulation desk that I choose in role creation.
When you are assigning any roles that require a circulation desk attached, you have us choose the desk, select it, and then attach it. Why can you not just use the one I select and remove the attach step?

Enable deletion of staff users from historical records
Enable deletion of staff users from historical records
Based on strong laws for data protection in Germany and in order to avoid efficiency control of the employees we need the possibility to delete the staff user from historical records.

User letters anonymization
It would be useful to be able to delete the letters attached to the user records with the Anonymization job.
In particular, we would like to keep the users records of expired users but delete their attachments, adding an option item to the anonymization job section in Fulfillment Jobs Configuration.

View only electronic inventory role
It would be great to have a role that could view all information related to electronic collections and portfolios but not edit them. This would be helpful for overlap analysis and viewing other details for individuals who should not be able to edit electronic inventory. One use case would be for network zone access for members of a consortium who access but do not maintain consortial resources.

Ability to log in as user to a user's Library Card
It would be nice to be able to log in to a user's Library Card as that user for various reasons, mainly related to seeing what the patron can see (which letters they are selected to receive, which loans are present and which can be renewed by patron, etc.).
This has been an immensely helpful feature within ILLiad, and with the ability to integrate Alma and ILLiad and allow users "one" library account to manage rather than several, it would be very helpful in troubleshooting users' questions over the phone or via email.

Add Job Category to Update/Notify Users
It seems strange that you can add User groups, roles etc in the Update/Notify USers job but the Job Category isn't available.
It would be useful if you could add this as we are starting to use Job Categories is TOU rules and being able to assign them based on a set of users would be really helpful.8 votes -

It would be useful if there was an indication of the Profile used that added each role to a given users account.

Add "Status" to user searches
There is no current method for adding "Status" to the list of available selections when running a User search in Alma; as such, the only way to find a list of active users is to either use the filter provided post-search (the selections in which are "All," "Active and not expired," and "Not active and expired") or to use Analytics.
However, these filter options exclude searches for users who are both Active and Expired, and using Analytics to create a report for this result requires multiple steps to set up before you can get a result (and subsequently run jobs…

Update/Notify Users
External Notes and Statistics information is overwritten when synchronizing patrons Externally via the SIS system. Notes and Statistics information can be entered manually and set as “Internal” by running the Update/Notify Users job and selecting the option “Add/changed field = Internal”. However, you are limited by the information that can be added to each selection. In the “Notes” selection you can’t select nor add a Note Type. In the Statistic selection, there’s no option to select a Category Type or type a Note. (see examples)

Create role profile from specific user roles.
Once we have assigned roles to a certain user, and we see that the functionality is correct, it would be interesting to be able to create a profile directly with the roles of this user.

Linking Proxy and Sponsor accounts
In our library, we create a separate library account for every Proxy, in addition to their personal account.
We want the Proxy and Sponsor accounts to be linked to each other so that all loans made by a Proxy on behalf of a Sponsor will automatically be registered on both accounts.

Read only view of user record information
There is a need to provide our faculty librarians with a role that allows for a read only view of the user record information e.g. user details, addresses, contact details, etc.

a specific type of "User notes" shown under "notes" tab
Currently, all user notes (which can be added manually) are hidden behind the "notes" tab (which can't be manually added), as shown in the attachment. It would be great if a specific type of "user notes"(for example, circulation notes) could be listed under "notes" tab, so that those notes will be more obvious to desk staff.

Dynamically create statistical category and type specified in the user xml notice imported from SIS
The user.xsd xml shema contains statistical category an type description.

User Registration Terms of Use - Have expiration dates be able to set from the calendar
When creating TOU for User Registration, we should have the ability, much like with due dates in Fulfillment, to set the expiration date to not only various amounts of time, but to a calendar date. We have some patrons who end their privileges at the end of the semester, and it would be very helpful.

A new design for the homepage of ALMA
It would be really lovely if the homepage to ALMA was colourful and bright with easy access to the major functions we use in the library. For example there could be a homepage that has different bubbles (5 in a circle with one in the middle for example) and people can drag and drop their 6 most used icons. For library assistants this would be super useful if we could open ALMA and instantly be able to issue / return books / search for a service users name / card number for easy access. Batch upload (from template) of internal users
We do not use external SIS upload. However, it would be fantastic to be able to batch upload internal users from a template, like we can do with portfolios. At the start of each school year, we could use the list of incoming students very easily.
