Allow for "open in a new tab"
We should be able to have more than one page in Alma open in different tabs. Now, when I click "open in a new tab" the page that opens is the Alma homepage. This makes many of my workflows difficult.

Dear Community,
I'm happy to inform you that the new capability of parallel work in multiple tabs in internet-browser was released in May 2024 Release. See Release Note publication - "Support Parallel Work in Multiple Tabs in Internet-Browser":
You can find more information on it in our documentation:

Starting Alma May 2024 release, Alma will introduce a new feature that enables users to open multiple tabs within the same Alma environment for a logged-in user.
This improvement enhances productivity and efficiency by enabling users to simultaneously open records in distinct internet browser tabs. This facilitates seamless copying of information between tabs and performing various tasks or workflows concurrently. With the multi-tab functionality, each browser tab is assigned a random ID, serving as a unique suffix for the corresponding session entries. This advancement facilitates the simultaneous operation of the same Alma session across multiple internet browser tabs. Users can now open Alma in two or more tabs and work concurrently without one tab impacting the others.

We have created a custom license term that uses HTML as the value to represent a hyperlink. Currently, the hyperlink resolves the current browser tab to the target URL. It would be preferred that the target URL open a new tab in the same browser, or a new window.
Ex Libris' support team has confirmed that they are not currently supporting hyperlinks opening in new tabs/windows.
We have tested using target="_blank" parameters to open in a new tab and adding the rel="noopener noreferrer" parameters, removing quotations in various places, and placing the target in different places in the string -- neither option has worked.
Here is an example record with the hyperlinked license term "Questions?:" -

This would improve navigation and UX for most users - it should be a standard feature, so I hope they include it in their development roadmap soon.

I agree! I have to redo a lot of my searches because I have to go out of the search.
