Role Profiles Enhancement
When using role profiles, it would be nice if the profile could create a link to the user(s) with roles defined by the profile. Then, if you want to modify the profile, the change updates all users in the profile. Currently, you'd have to update the role profile and each individual user.

A regular use case for us is that we set expiry dates to the roles we give our fixed-term student assistants, but many of them return the following year. Currently we have to manually edit the dates for each of the roles for each of the returning assistants. It would save a lot of time to be able to just update the role, and have the updated expiry dates flow through.

This is a great idea. Wish I had votes to spare ...

I added another role profile-related enhancement that may be of interest:

Great idea! This is painful enough in a two-library partnership with 50 staff... I can't imagine how difficult it would be to manage in a consortium with hundreds or thousands of staff. Please consider voting for this enhancement.

Yes!
In Aleph (from where we'll migrate to Alma) we rely heavily on proxies for staff users (z66). When you update the proxy in Aleph, all staff users linked to that proxy are updated, too.
