Identify stats for individual self check machines in Analytics
It doesn't appear to currently be possible to report stats in Analytics for individual self check machines unless you assign a separate Circulation Desk for each self check within a branch.
We have multiple self check machines in each branch and we'd like to be able to report on the number of loans each self check processes so we can see which ones are in demand and which ones aren't. We'd like to see a way to attach multiple self checks to the same Circulation Desk and be able to report out the stats for each of those self checks…

Add Delete Note and Confirm option in Manage Item Returns
At present, when the barcode of an item is scanned in on the Manage Item Returns screen and okayed, the Confirmation Message box displays any Fulfilment Note associated with the item and asks the user either to confirm the action of returning, or to cancel.
We would like there to be a third option, "Delete Note and Confirm", whereby the fulfilment note can be deleted at the same time as the user confirms the return of the item.
This would be a huge time-saving asset, in as much as it will save staff having to navigate into the Physical Item…

Missing subfields in authority records
Some of the subfields are missing from the authorities in Alma - in particular subfields for 100 and 700 MARC tags are f, k, l, m, n, o, p, r, s, t

Retain preferences in manage sets screen
When you select either private or public sets, retain the preference for the duration of the session and do not routinely default back to private. Having to re-select public repeatedly is just more repetitive clicking.

Remove "Reading lists - unassigned" from the Tasks panel
Our Course Reserves > Reading Lists workflow does not include assigning the lists to any particular person. We would like to have unassigned reading lists that are completed removed from the tasks panel.

Option to turn fines off for a period
Recently one of our library is trying to look at the stocks, hence, they have sent out an announcement for all patrons at the specific to return their loaned items and we informed them that their fines will be waived for that fine free period.
But after raising a Salesforce case, we realised that Alma could not turn off fines for a certain period.
Would an option to turn the fines on and off be appropriate to be added to Alma?

Ability to select Columns exported via Tools->Excel option
When in a view or screen with Tools option (for Excel) saving, it would be very helpful to be able to have more contol over the columns output.
User Roles is a great example. The list does not include the ACTIVE (Y/N) option, yet it is clearly an important piece of information when comparing users or building role templates. A repository search is another example. It has 18 fields pre-selected, however this could prove much more efficient if we could select to add or remove the columns that make the most sense to us prior to saving.25 votes -
Ability to run a job on a set from the Manage Sets screen
Currently we need to create a set in the Manage Sets area then go to "Run a Job", select the job to run and then select the set.
Wouldn't it be great if you could go to Manage Sets then click on "Actions" for a particular set, then choose "Run a Job". You could then be prompted to choose the job to run but you wouldn't need to go through the additional step of choosing the set (and you wouldn't have to exit the sets screen to go to the "Run a job" screen). option to "Send Return Receipt" from "Return items"
When I'm returning books from the drop box, using "Return Items", I would really appreciate the option to "Send Return Receipt" in cases where the patron has accrued fines. It makes sense from a customer service standpoint - rather than the fine eventually going to billing (and adding the billing fee) without ever letting the patron know that they owe a fine. This is similar to the last idea posted, but subtly different, so I thought I'd go ahead and suggest this.

Allow non-circulation desk service units to re-shelve items
Right now only circulation desks can re-shelve items after they've been received. You can set up a circ desk to receive, but it would be nice if you could also set up a non-circ desk service unit to re-shelve.

Ability to create a chosen quantity of predictions
As someone who manages serial subscriptions, I would like the ability to choose the quantity of predictions I create for any given holdings record. This would allow for quicker navigation of list of items, and reduce the number of inaccurate predictions.
It is not always desired to predict an entire year’s worth of predictions (which currently is the only option). Depending on the publishing frequency and the number of copies of a subscription, we can have 11 pages of predictions in a list of items, in addition to the received items. Add title column to Receive new material > Received items list
When receiving titles for a membership/package we need to see the titles displayed in an extra column on the Received items list in order to distinguish between titles in such a membership/package. See screen prints.

Could we have dates showing the actual month, not represented numerically?
Many of our students can't work out when their items are due, maybe due to the increasing use of the US dating format, so they don't know if 4/10/16 is the 4th of October or the 10th of April. Using the actual months would decrease the confusion.

The number of display record in one page can be more optional in Receive / Receiving Department Items
We suggest that it is possible to select multiple records in one page not only 20 records but also 50/100/200 etc in Receive or Receiving Department Items. The number of display record should be optional or configurable for institution or personally.

Default search option setting for external resources
MD editor > Tools > Search external resources
Search options for external resources such as title, creator, isbn, system number and year of publication are automatically filled in from a bib record. This make us to delete fields manually and spend time. It would be great to set search options at the institution level or individually.

Automatically attach the circulation desk that I choose in role creation.
When you are assigning any roles that require a circulation desk attached, you have us choose the desk, select it, and then attach it. Why can you not just use the one I select and remove the attach step?

User Registration Terms of Use - Have expiration dates be able to set from the calendar
When creating TOU for User Registration, we should have the ability, much like with due dates in Fulfillment, to set the expiration date to not only various amounts of time, but to a calendar date. We have some patrons who end their privileges at the end of the semester, and it would be very helpful.
