Primo VE: ability to search without search expansion and to display a link to include expanded terms if desired
Currently if the search expansion with controlled vocabulary feature is switched on in Primo VE, the search expansion is automatically included in the search by default and the user has to click to remove the expanded terms from their search. It would be beneficial to have the ability to have the feature switched on, but with the expansion not included by default and for the user to be able to include the expanded terms if desired.

Change order of holdings for e-journals in ViewIt
Allow the institution to determine the ordering of resources in the ViewIt section of Primo. The single select options would include:
• By Date – Ascending
• By Date – Descending
• Alphabetical
• (Not sure if there are others)Currently e-journal titles with multiple holdings are displayed in alphabetical order. When each holding has a different date range, it can be difficult to scan quickly. This would allow each institution to select what works best for their users.

Extend the character limit for text fields in Vendor Licences.
Licences often have more than just one clause relating to that field. The character limit currently prohibits how much of the clause can be added to that field.

Search Loans within user Account
We have users who would like to be able to search within their list of currently checked out items. At present, the only options are (1) export the list of loans to BibTeX or RIS and search them in another program, or (2) sort by checkout date or title. When faculty have 400 items checked out, neither of these options is feasible. They would like a search box option within their account to search across all the items they have checked out.

Shibboleth authentication based patron update
It would be useful to be able to utilise Alma’s patron data update (via ‘Update User Details’ RestAPI) using attributes released in the federated authentication process and are in accordance with EduPerson -schema (Shibboleth/SAML2).

Enhance Primo Analytics Facet Usage by expanding Facet Values
Primo Analytics currently only provides data on Facet Values for two Facet Types: Top Level and Resource Type, with data such as Available in Library, Available Online, Articles, Books, etc.
This granular level of data on user behavior is very valuable and influences our decision making for both our services and system configuration.
It would be wonderful to have this extended also to other Facet Types, including Creation Date, Collection, Author, Topic, New Records, and Journal.7 votes -
Separating Scholarly and Peer Reviewed facets in the PCI
As a former Summon library, we are lamenting that there used to be separate facets in Summon for Scholarly and for Peer-reviewed articles - as not all peer-reviewed content is scholarly. Ex Libris has responded to my Salesforce inquiry that there are no current plans to separate this content into separate facets, but the idea may be considered for the CDI roadmap.

Option for linking Collection details page instead of Collection Lobby
Simple search results on Primo NUI for Digital collections shows Title and View the collection link only, which get us its collection lobby page directly. Please give us an option that enables to check the collection's metadata(bib) on its Details page and then the user can move to the collection lobby by clicking the link like E-resources.

Search by abbreviation journal titles
We would like to search by abbreviation journal titles.
For exsample, "The Journal of Chemical Science" ="JACS"="J. AMER. CHEM. SOC.".
In SFX, we can do it, so I hope in Primo, too.7 votes -
Number of items excluding EBSCO would be shown in PCI facet
When I set a mixed search of Primo PCI and EBSCO API on Primo VE, facet doesn't display number of items of each facet and the sort of facet is out of control. I have heard that this is due to the specification of the EBSCO API. I think that if it is impossible to show the number of EBSCO results, as a second solution, only the number of PCI results, excluding EBSCO, should be displayed.

Make Primo VE search box placeholder text customizable by search profile/scope
Placeholder text within the Primo VE search box (Search Tiles Labels table > nui.search.placeholder) can be customized by View by adding a new label that includes the name of the specific view. However, it would be most helpful if the search placeholder text could also be customized by search scope or profile, so that when the user selects a different option within the same view the placeholder text changes. Brief instructions/examples for searching could then be included for each profile/scope, greatly enhancing the user search experience by identifying the kind of content included or the best way to search.

Control Purchase Request Display in Primo by Material Type
Using display logic rules there is no easy way to show the Purchase Request link based on material type. We want to enable the purchase request link for ebooks, but not ejournals. I did come up with a hackey workaround by creating a GES that only does the identification of the journal and then a display logic rule to hide the purchase request if this GES is present, but there seems like there should be a better way to do this?

provide different indication for items 'available online' - but not for my library
when searching for 'electronic sources only' the result list provides the indication 'available online' for all items, including those NOT available for my library.
I do want to see the items not available for my library, but there should be a different indication for them.
Is it possible to show items as 'available online' for those available for my library, and show the other items with 'inter-library loan' indication?
thanks

PrimoVE : Allow splitting Dublin Core Fields
As we have set up Discovery import profiles to import Dublin Core data from other institutions into our PrimoVE instance, we have discovered a few institutions that concatenate the DC:CREATOR and DC:SUBJECT fields into a single field.
The ability to split these fields in normalization would be extremely useful in the Primo environment.

Block free text input functon in Resource Sharing Form
When users request items with multiple volumes in the resource sharing form (NERS Enhancement - Request ID #4856), they can select a specific volume from the pull down list, also freely enter the volume information in the box. Errors of manual input may lead to in inefficient or failure of handling the requests, e.g. user input “1” in the text box instead of selecting “v.1” from the list, the request can be created successfully, but the description cannot be shown in “Borrowing Requests” of Borrowing Library or “Pick from the shelf” of Lending Library, the libraries need to spend extra…

Add Course Reserve Public Notes to Primo VE record details display
A proscribed set of Course Information can be displayed in the Primo VE record details, but there is no way to add other notes or information related to course reserve in Primo VE, as there is in Leganto. There is a Public Notes field in Alma's Reading List > Citation > Citation Parameters settings, but this note can only be displayed in Leganto. If the Public Note could be made available for display in the Primo VE record as well it could be used in conjunction with the Course Information display to provide important information to end users -- for…

Ability to examine raw data of a PCI collection for quality assessment
Its tedious to check the quality of primo central collection. It will be helpful to have an API access to the raw data of Primo Central Collections. Collections need to be checked for quality issues e.g. resource types contained. Its important to understand the density, language, and formatting of metadata before a collection is activated in production. Please enable an API for the PNX / Metadata of the collections records. Metadata experts could then assess the quality of a collection more easily. The method would be also more reliable and convenient than checking (some) examples via the Primo frontend.
