Default options for tasks should be configurable by the library
I have a support case open (Case 06893601) that requests the ability to change the default option for “In-House Use”. This support case and others like it could be addressed by allowing the library to configure whether an action is the default.
A search of the Idea Exchange for "change default" results in a lengthy list from all areas, the cumulative effect of which clearly illustrates the need for this change.
A few examples:
Reading Room Final Check-in
Warning message to confirm Check-In for Shipped Items
Release remaining encumbrance
Metadata Editor Templates to suppress from discovery and Don't publish to WorldCat
Linking local portfolios to CZ at the Institution level

Either having default settings as an option, or ensuring that chosen options remain 'sticky', would be appreciated updates.

I think Ex Libris will ask for specific places where this is wanted. They usually require this type of focused list rather than to make a change to everything in the system. The above list is a start but there could be others.

Other example: Scan in Items, Set status
Many pull-down menus present options in alphabetic order. Even some menus that remember recent choices may present those, but the default is often the first option in the alphabetic list, regardless.
