Thank you for suggesting this idea, the direction is to enable customers to show more links and offer some configuration options to set preferences.
Note that this is not something that we can do in the near future since it is a complex change.

If this idea is aimed at consortia that manage e-resources in a NZ, it could be useful and would mirror what is already present functionality for CZ to IZ activations.
It would be problematic if it was meant to include all NZ situations, though. That is, we would not want to receive this pop-up message every time an institution in our consortium had activated a collection before us.

This is a great suggestion; however, Ex Libris historically has refused to enable functionality across all areas. They insist on detailed use cases and then will enable the functionality only for that use case. It's very annoying. Still, this is basic functionality that should be in the system so will get my votes.

Alma team is analyzing to which indexes it is possible to add the “is not” and other negative comparators. In addition, there is a new feature coming called refined search which allows using indication rules created by the users (see Ability to search via free text MARC tag and subfields idea, NERS 2020).

This suggestion would be a big problem for institutions that use the OCLC master record as their bib record. Master records can contain many 856 fields with only some (or none) of them being relevant to a particular library. It would be a huge problem to have changes to those 856 fields automatically update portfolios. So, if implemented it must be configurable at the institution level and the default configuration when first implemented must be set to off (that is, implementing this should require an institution to specifically turn it on).

We are seriously considering de-activating CDI for all link in record collections because having them active in CDI eliminates all of the hard work we do to keep our Alma links current. Choosing an outside link which may or may not work correctly over a link that the library has maintained is a disservice to users. An example of why this is a problem came to light when we activated a link in record collection that was marked as open access in CDI but uses links that are not open access (1findr, which makes CDI records show as OA but that maps to 1Science links which are not OA). The OA mismatch is not the root of the problem discussed here, though. The actual problem is that any nonworking link in record links automatically make it so that users cannot access resources even though we have working links in Alma in collections we have activated for CDI.
The need is to either include both link in record and linkresolver links in a single record, or to prefer linkresolver over link in record.
