collection discovery
Currently grid items in Collection Discovery can show title, resource type and thumbnail. We would like to add creator/author and or creation/publication date if possible. My suggestion is to add configuration for changing what is displayed in the item grid elements in Collection Discovery.

I strongly agree with this idea! As a user I like the attractive grid display of book covers, however, to make a selection the information about author and year is an important criteria.

However, I think this should be a configuration option out of the box. -

We're just experimenting with Collection Discovery now, and are trying to show faculty publications, but since many have multiple editions, it would be very nice to have the pub date (and author) visible on the Discovery Tiles. This could avoid the extra clicks of re-sorting the collection. Also, it would be in closer alignment with the way the Browse tiles appear on a record.

Agreed, being able to view creator and date details from the collection discovery page will greatly assist users in choosing items to view. Currently there is not enough item information available to users in this display.
