Add "General Notes" at the collection, service, and portfolio levels to Analytics
Please add the following note fields to Analytics:
Electronic Collection:
- General notes (multiple entries)
Electronic Service:
- General notes (multiple entries)
Electronic Portfolio:
- General notes (multiple entries)
Why is this necessary?
You can search for many fields in Alma itself, but not all of note fields can be exported from Alma. But this is particularly important for note fields!

I fully support this proposal. In our consortial environment, we have had to use notes to help us effectively manage our electronic resources. Being able to extract and analyze notes information with the help of Analytics would greatly simplify our work and allow us to direct more of our staff's precious time toward higher and better uses.

At California Digital Library, within University of California, we're very interested in this also. This would allow us fully use Alma Analytics and not need to maintain separate reports that are created outside of Alma. As a consortium, this would also allow more information sharing with our members and more efficient troubleshooting and maintenance. It should be standard to add fields like this to Analytics in alignment with search indexes in Alma. Ideally at the time of development, but certainly when they are revisited at a later time when customers flag an important field which is lacking.
There are other Notes fields ETL'd to Analytics and performance issues should be controlled well by the existing Analytics character limits. -
