Update user roles quickly - import the Excel file exported from another user
Currently, it's possible export a user's roles in Alma to an Excel file. However, the counterpart function isn't there: to be able to take the roles you've exported from one user and import them into another user's record. This would be such a time-saving feature because it would enable us to take the roles from one member of staff and apply the same to another.

This would be an amazing thing for Ex Libris to implement. What's the point of being able to export user roles to Excel if you can't import them to another user? When a user leaves the libraries I always deactivate their account so I can save the roles assigned to that user. When someone new is hired into their job it would be great to export the roles from the user that left and import the roles into the new user that was hired into that specific job.

Personally I'd like to have both options then, but import would be a good first step.

Copy user profile is completely different from importing the roles from Excel file!!!! Our institution has nearly 20 branch libraries and include different scope of services, I've to duplicate the similar user profile and change every role scopes/add same role for different scopes when assigning roles to new colleagues.
Today's example is 95 roles for 1 senior colleague who manage 4 branch libraries!
Please add this function as soon as possible.

Even better: bring back the proxy function for staff users that exists in Aleph.
So that updating the proxy account automatically updates all linked accounts, too.

Are the role profiles not helpful for binding a set of roles and being able to apply them in one go ?

Only _link_ the users to the profiles, so that when you update the profile the linked users are updated automatically.
