This would still be really useful.

I should have said as well, this would be very similar to the idea around updating calendars by uploading an Excel file: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/10936566-calendar-management-update-calendars-by-uploadin

One of the enhancement requests in NERS 2018 was on a similar theme of notifying staff when a lost item is returned, but through different means:

'Alert message when lost item is checked in' (5395) - Currently the lost item check-in message does not appear if no lost item replacement fee and refund policies of the lost loan fines have been configured. Request ability to configure Alma so that the lost item check-in message appears regardless of lost loan fines configuration.

I have attempted to do as Moshe suggested and use the 'Override On Shelf Request Policy' functionality but got an error message: 'No items available for the request due to policy.' Also, there was an enhancement request related to this in NERS 2018: 'Enable staff users to override any TOU' (5179), which suggests it isn't possible at the moment.

See Salesforce case #00554607 (https://exlibrisgroup--c.na62.visual.force.com/apex/VF_Case_WithoutJira?id=5000e00001KlGrNAAV) for my question about this and Ex Libris' response. We didn't realise that it was possible to extend the expiry dates; we thought it was necessary to delete and re-create entries to get an additional 3 years. It is actually possible to extend without deleting, but the method isn't intuitive and what I've suggested above would be more straightforward.

Alma team has decided to provide the ability to choose a color scheme by the user.
The user will be able to change the color scheme via the UI preference menu based on institution policy. The institution’s administrator will be able via “Alma Logo and Color Scheme” to enable or disable users to choose a color scheme. Also, there will be a special option for the administrator to provide the ability for a specific user to choose a color scheme via the user details screen. Another improvement Alma team plans to provide is a high contrast color scheme each user will be able to choose regardless of institution policy
