  1. Automated process to improve metadata based on data from publisher

It would be great if the system could pick up on pieces of information in the publisher-provided metadata to automatically fill out related fields in the records for titles in the marketplace. For example:

    • If the listed pagination is less than 100 or 50, put the title in the less than 50 pages or 50-100 pages category so those titles get filtered out when that criteria is set.

    • If the author name matches the publisher name, mark it as self-published.

    • If the description starts with "This title was first published in [year]" or the Edition is a known reprint series…

  2. Module information.

Please filter out duplicate citations, to allow us to easily see how many modules/students are associated with an owned book. When a lecturer uses the same book in multiple sections on a reading list then each instance is currently visible in Rialto. It would be more useful to know there are x number of modules and students associated with a book, rather than having to look through the list and eliminate all the duplicates.
Sometimes the same module appears 8-10 times for us as lecturers often refer to specific chapters from the same book in different sections of their reading…

  3. Make library activity on the main list page to go directly to holdings.

It takes three clicks to see if we own it. Not duplicating titles in ebooks or physical is very important when ordering. It would save a lot of time

  4. Fund code retention for order history needed

When a title awaiting approval in Market is rejected, the fund name is retained but the fund code is dropped. This is a problem because once it's rejected, the code information is gone and we have no other way to get that information back. Can you fix this so that the fund code is retained along with the fund name in the order history for the rejected titles (it can be retained for all if that program fix is easier, but we need it primarily for the rejected titles.

  5. Faculty Request Functionality

When faculty use the request feature, their request are visible in Primo. Ideally, this will not be the case, so they won't see all their submitted and denied requests every time they log into their library account. Also, it would be ideal if these requests could be sent or assigned to a specific selector for review.

  6. New editions of textbooks

Using combined information from Rialto and Leganto, flag new editions of textbooks in use in courses. Can currently only set up a title alert for all new editions from your library's catalogue but can't trigger it to only look at new editions of in-use textbooks.

  7. Textbook Identification and Facets

To help identify textbooks in the marketplace - a new facet should be included to both label materials as textbooks and to sort/remove textbooks when reviewing materials.
