Automated process to improve metadata based on data from publisher
It would be great if the system could pick up on pieces of information in the publisher-provided metadata to automatically fill out related fields in the records for titles in the marketplace. For example:
If the listed pagination is less than 100 or 50, put the title in the less than 50 pages or 50-100 pages category so those titles get filtered out when that criteria is set.
If the author name matches the publisher name, mark it as self-published.
If the description starts with "This title was first published in [year]" or the Edition is a known reprint series…

Module information.
Please filter out duplicate citations, to allow us to easily see how many modules/students are associated with an owned book. When a lecturer uses the same book in multiple sections on a reading list then each instance is currently visible in Rialto. It would be more useful to know there are x number of modules and students associated with a book, rather than having to look through the list and eliminate all the duplicates.
Sometimes the same module appears 8-10 times for us as lecturers often refer to specific chapters from the same book in different sections of their reading…2 votesThank you for your suggestion. Ability to create default market search settings for our institution, including exclusion of self-published titles
We'd like to be able to toggle off (i.e. exclude) self-published publishers in the market search as the default for any basic search in rialto across our institution. The ability to set other facets in the search as default could also be helpful.

Make library activity on the main list page to go directly to holdings.
It takes three clicks to see if we own it. Not duplicating titles in ebooks or physical is very important when ordering. It would save a lot of time

Fund code retention for order history needed
When a title awaiting approval in Market is rejected, the fund name is retained but the fund code is dropped. This is a problem because once it's rejected, the code information is gone and we have no other way to get that information back. Can you fix this so that the fund code is retained along with the fund name in the order history for the rejected titles (it can be retained for all if that program fix is easier, but we need it primarily for the rejected titles.

Faculty Request Functionality
When faculty use the request feature, their request are visible in Primo. Ideally, this will not be the case, so they won't see all their submitted and denied requests every time they log into their library account. Also, it would be ideal if these requests could be sent or assigned to a specific selector for review.

Add to DDA as part of Cart workflow to allow for use of templates, interested user notifications, and notes
Currently, when adding a title to the DDA pool, selectors can only apply fund, ordering library, and various reporting codes the title. We are hoping to use our DDA for user requests and would like to notify the requesting users at the point when the title becomes available not when the title is eventually triggered. Furthermore, different selectors are applying different reporting codes for different titles when adding to the DDA pool. It would make things much more efficient if there was a way to template DDA additions.
All of these problems would be solved by allowing titles to be…

Notification of titles added to DDA collection
Currently when a title is added to the DDA collection, there is no other notification generated, so no way of alerting others to the title being added. It would be good to be able to generate an email with the details of the title added, so that other workflows can be implemented.

Add 'Refunded' status in the facets for ebook orders fulfilled/invoiced but later credited.
It would be useful to have a 'Refunded' status in the facets showing orders cancelled after fulfilment. At the moment they display as 'order complete' like every other order.
Having the option of portfolios being automatically deleted for credited titles would be useful too.

New editions of textbooks
Using combined information from Rialto and Leganto, flag new editions of textbooks in use in courses. Can currently only set up a title alert for all new editions from your library's catalogue but can't trigger it to only look at new editions of in-use textbooks.

Notes in title alerts
To be able to add notes & comments to titles at the title alert level. Currently we are only able to add notes to the books once they have been added to a list.

Consolidated purchase option view
Rialto currently lists purchase options individually in a way that you need to scroll and memorize to make a best purchase decision. I'd like a view that consolidates purchase options into one view to make comparison easier.

Upgrade other ebook access models in Rialto eg Ebsco
Hi
It would be helpful to be able to upgrade more publisher platform ebooks than just EBC in Rialto.
Rialto is providing the opportunity to order ebooks eg. on Ebsco platform - it would be cost efficient to libraries to also enable us to upgrade our copy access.
Thanks12 votesThank you for your suggestion. Please also reach out to EBSCO and let them know you'd be interested in this capability in Rialto.

Textbook Identification and Facets
To help identify textbooks in the marketplace - a new facet should be included to both label materials as textbooks and to sort/remove textbooks when reviewing materials.

Allow filtering by Market Place badge
When creating a list of items from a set of ISBNs it would be helpful to be able to filter by titles that have the badge "Library Activity" or other badges e.g. "David's List". Either to filter these out (David is dealing with that title), or filter down to "Library Activity" to check what this might be or exclude it from a results set (e.g. is this a new edtion/format, or anything already available we are not interested in). In general having the ability to filter by badge in any area could would be useful for narrowing down in different…

Rialto Market to Alma Purchase Request Crosswalk
When Selectors put purchase requests through the Alma Purchase Request form the Purchasing Manager can push the request to Rialto Market. But when Selectors put something in Rialto Market the Purchasing Manager cannot push it to Alma Purchasing Request form. This would be extremely helpful and eliminate the need to go into Rialto, cancel the order and re-create it from scratch in the Alma Purchase Request form.

Notify customers when platform vendors reject a DDA title in Rialto
When a librarian adds titles to the DDA pool and they disappear because the platform vendor has removed them, librarians want to be notified. Librarians are losing track of what has been lost. They recently become aware of lost titles because of titles that were special requests. After these became known, and it was discovered that this list was growing, a concern for untracked titles developed. How many pushed DDA titles go missing? All selectors who push DDA titles need to be sent a regular monthly report by email of the titles that were removed.

Ability to add "offers"/"slips" manually
We currently get lists of titles from vendors in addition to finding out about titles through Rialto. We would like Rialto to be our one-stop-shop for Selectors. Ideally, we would be able to find every title in the Rialto marketplace; however, recognizing that there may occasionally be titles not in the marketplace, we'd like the ability to manually create a slip/offer with relevant bibliographic information for Selectors to review. That way we could then order from outside the system while the Selectors do all of their reviewing from within Rialto.

Add a Rialto badge for Large Print books
There currently is no badge for large print books. It's difficult to discern if a title is in fact a large print edition and a badge would easily identify them to selectors.
