Add roles to a user with the same roles as an already created user
Many times we need to add a user with the same roles already created in another user.
Alma should allow copying of all roles from one user to another.
You can create a role profile with the exact roles and scopes you want to re-use, and then use this profile to re-assign the same set of roles to other users.

How to install and use the Copy User Roles cloud app

This is not already supported. Being able to copy from an existing user is quite different from using a role profile. As others have pointed out, it would be ALMOST the same if there were a way to copy an existing user's settings INTO a profile. But since there isn't, the role profiles are no help. Frankly, this would be significantly more useful than the role profiles.

I think we should talk about efficiency.
Efficiency would be the function.
For a user:
Add roles to Profile. In this way, the profile would be created automatically.

What's a big step backwards when switching from Aleph to Alma is that the proxy function for staff users is missing. -

Dear Moshe
> You can create a role profile
While this is correct, it is not what we need.
A compromise might be if you add a function 'create a profile from the settings of this user account'.
Or both:
- duplicate as a new user
and
- duplicate as a new profile

"Staff user accounts – allow proxies and duplication"

Very much agree that copying (staff) user accounts is missing.
Even more practical would be the possiblility to link a new staff user to a proxy staff user account, so that when the proxy is updated all linked accounts are automatically updated (as in Aleph).
