Have the option to send emails to the user’s preferred address or send it to all of the user’s addresses on their account instead.
Sometimes the “preferred addresses” imported from SIS is not the address users frequently uses, they could potentially miss important notifications and cause disputes.
Now Alma can send emails to multiple recipients simultaneously, for example emails addressed to under-aged patrons can also be sent to their legal guardians. To enable this, Alma now supports a new type of email “CC address” for public and staff type users only. When an email is sent to the patron, it is sent to all of the CC addresses, in addition to the address that is marked as Preferred.

I think a universal change to all email addresses would be intrusive - we all get so many emails that I don't want to train our students to tune out the library ones. However, the option to do so would be VERY useful.

Users would benefit from this upgrade.

I am frequently asked if loan receipt letters and reminders can be sent to more than one email address. Please can we tick more than one 'preferred' email address to send to?

We have the same situation and strongly wish for this improvement! Many of our students don't check university email so often and many of our part-time faculty and visiting researchers request us to send notices to additional addresses.

re comment 8/2/19 - this is my experience too - rather than selecting a preferred email for correspondence it would be far more efficient if Alma emailed all email addresses held for borrower (usually only 2-uni and personal)

This should be standard. So many of our students don't check their university email account but when I manually change it to email their private address, they respond within the hour. How hard can it be for the system to email more than one address?
