copy user account
Please provide the ability to clone accounts.
From time to time, a user will report that they can't do xyz with their account. It would be convenient to create a copy of the user's account (changing the name and primary ID) so that I can add and remove roles without disturbing a live account.

Staff user accounts can be _linked_ to profiles.
On the roadmap for 2025.

I'd like to reinvigorate this idea. Not just for testing of roles, but also for easy user creation. If I have new tech services librarian A replacing retiring tech services librarian B, I'd love to just clone B and just change the name and identifier to A's values.

Copy / duplicate is also missing for staff user accounts.
Or bring back the proxy function for staff user accounts (like in Aleph). -

@Kurt
Our sandbox is not a clone of our production environment.

Would testing in your dev (Sandbox) environment provide the same outcome?
Otherwise, in the production environment it is possible to add a role with an expiry date to ensure that it is only live for a set period (if adding a role temporarily for testing purposes) - or to quickly deactivate or reactivate a role via user management for that client (if trying to see whether removing a role will resolve the issue).
