search filters and better results display in the "search external resources" function
When we are searching WorldCat for a record to match a newly-ordered title, we often find duplicate records. The current search results display makes it difficult and time-consuming to choose the best record.
The external resources search would be much improved if we could limit search results by the language of cataloging (040 |b) and format. This would save us having to wade through multiple vendor records that aren't even in our local language of cataloging, and multiple records for resources in a format other than the one we are looking for.
It would save us a lot of time if the search results display showed the source of cataloging (040 |a |c) and the number of holdings in OCLC. These both help us choose the record we want to use. It is inconvenient to have to view each record to see its source, and as far as I can tell, there is no way in Alma to see the number of holdings on any WorldCat record.
Thanks for considering.

I agree with the others. I avoid searching for records with the Search Resources function because I cannot sort records by publisher, publication year, etc. or easily see the the number of holdings, creating agency in 040 field, and whether or not our library already has holdings.
I can easily do all of these functions from OCLC Connexion, export my chosen record, then do the rest in the Alma MDE.

It would help to also have in the brief display of the search result, an indication easily visible if the institution we belong to has a Holdings on a record.

I would add also, let us control the results display, and show more fields on the short display such as call number. (We sometimes want to compare and see quickly which call number other libraries gave to the book we edit, without having to open each record.
