last active date
User profile - Last active date
We would like to have a field in the user profile that shows patron’s last active date, i.e. loan, request or return. This field will be useful when deciding which user profiles to purge.
You can now view the last activity date for specific activities in the Last Patron Activity Date field of the User Details Page. The field is display only and will be available for analytics in an upcoming release. Due to privacy concerns, data will only be collected from activation of this new feature onward. If the option is disabled, all data collected in this field will be deleted for all users.

@Hege: Wouldn't you agree that in a world of more and more content being available online a successful login should also be regarded as a patron's "activity" that prevents her/his user profile from being purged for some more time? While we see a clear bug in the fact that last activity date is not updated when a patron logs in successfully, Ex Libris Development persists that this was an enhancement request and refers to the written word in the Alma documentation which rephrases no more and no less than exactly what you requested back in Nov 2017: "... is updated when the user places a request, or borrows or returns an item."
Please, let them know, you agree with us. Perhaps it will help and save us another idea to vote on before we all get what is the only thing that makes sense.

Made it to round 2 in the NERS voting -> June 2019 #5631.

We had this with our previous system and found it essential for purging records, monitoring library use, and also informing disciplinaries.

I support this idea

This is sorely needed for institutions that anonymize the loans.

This would be useful for a great number of institutions in the BIBSYS consortium, so this idea is wholly supported.

This would also help to figure out how many active users there are in a given year.
