  1. Sign to indicate a report/prompt is used on dashboard

    It would be perfect if there is any sign in Analytics catologue to indicate that the report/prompt is being used in dashboard/widget/scheduled job. Currently, we accidentally deleted some reports/prompts that are used in dashboard which caused the dashboard crash. Sometimes we edit some prompts and forgot these prompts are used in other reports. Theses are really annoying. Hope you guys can do something about it. If such a sign is asking too much, then a quick way to generate a list of reports/prompts that are used in dashboard would also help.

  2. When you change vendors in the PO, there should be a warning note if a PO# is not entered

    When you change the vendor for a PO, there needs to be a warning note if you do not fill in the PO#. If you are doing a large number of these (say you changed vendors for a e-journal package) it's very easy to miss putting in one po number, thus changing all your open PO's with that vendor to another vendor.

  3. Moving item records should have a better way of refreshing the list of items

    When item records are moved from one location to another the move will be made and the list of items will refresh but then leave all of the items moved still on the page. From here there is no good option to refresh the page and continue working and moving item records. Using the Alma back button takes you back to the bib record where you have to reenter the the list of items.   4. Standardize item record navigation

    Currently when navigating the list of items the position of the numbers and arrows changes position depending on how deep you are in the records. For instance when you go from the first page to the second page the arrow will jump to the left due to the records being displayed adding another digit. This happens again when you hit three digits in the record display. So if you are paging through focused on the content you can all of a sudden jump to the end of the list without ever moving your mouse. I'm asking for this to be…

  5. Have Related Holdings assigned lower AVA lower subfield P for correct View in Primo

    Currently the priority for related holdings is not being considered when writing the AVA subfield P when exporting to Primo. This is incorrect. The record itself should have a higher priority than the related records. This can cause the Primo aggregated call # display to be misleading: http://screencast.com/t/06sd3csq

  6. Patron contact info - more fields?

    Adding discretionally more fields (i.e. city, see city.jpg) to the fields displayed in the user details - contact info panel

  7. When viewing an item, there should be an option to edit without leaving the item screen

    When you view an item (or click on the barcode to view an item), there should be an option on the item screen to edit the item. Instead, if we decide we need to edit the item, we have to back out of the item screen, then select Actions --> edit to edit the item. Too many clicks!

  8. Show 866 holdings field text on item records screen, so don't have to go back and forth to check holdings dates.

    Presently from the list of item records, we have to click on "Holdings" to see the 866 summary holdings for vol & dates. It would be very helpful for the 866 holdings to be visible on the item record screen.

  11. Customize Alma search indexes

    We would like to customize the search indexes in Alma for all MARC21 fields (not just localized fields). For instance, in the Alma advanced search > all titles > "Title" > we would like to change to "245 (Title)" to make it easier to identify the MARC21 field we want to search.

  12. Physical Item Editor - activate Confirm button upon Save action

    In the Physical Item Editor, upon Clicking the Save button, please automatically activate as default the "Confirm" button in the Confirmation Message pop-up window.
    In the same way that all other Confirmation Message pop-up windows already have the Confirm button activated, so all you have to do is hit the enter key to select it. (Instead of having to make another click on the Confirm button.) This would help improve efficiency.

  13. Display all orders for physical item searches, even when individual item records are not linked to a POL

    When doing various collection development tasks, acquisitions and resource managers may want to know whether there is order information for a title at the same time they're viewing physical item details via the More Info link in Alma. Currently, Alma does not display orders for physical item searches when a POL is not linked to an item record. This is a problem for closed orders that migrated from another ILS because the POL does not get linked in the item record during the migration process.   14. Display renewals in Item History

    In the Physical Item Editor, under the Fulfillment activities, we are able to see the Loan and Return history. I think it would be great to see Renewal information in this place as well.

    So many times, we have patrons disputing fines because the item was late and they renewed it thinking that it's not due on the original due date.

  15. Add new call number fields to Fulfillment area to assist with reporting

    In the Fulfillment subject area there are no fields allowing the breakdown of the call number in the holdings record.

    Please add fields that allow LC call numbers in the holdings record to be broken down into LC Code and LC number and also a normalised field which can be exported for sorting in Excel.

  16. Improvements to Pick From Shelf list needed

    Currently our staff spend too much time managing requests. Improvements to the interface for Pick From Shelf would help in some of these cases. We would like to see:

    1. A search box.

    Very often we need to target a particular request, a task made more difficult by less than ideal facets (see #2). Search functionality exists under Monitor Requests & Item Processes, but not all options for handling requests are available in that view (such as "Skip Location").

  17. A different colour scheme for Alma Sandbox

    Currently, Alma (Sandbox) and Alma (Production) looks almost the same except for the tiny “Sandbox” wording under the Alma logo on the top left corner of the screen.
    It can be very misleading and it will be disastrous (and irreversible in some cases!) if I update the wrong records in Production.

    You may want to consider to use a different colour scheme for the Sandbox login. Eg a “Alma Sandbox” logo with a red background.

  19. Should be able to fill in all fields in item records by typing.

    Currently, location fields in item records can only be filled in by choosing from a menu. It would be helpful if it were also possible to simply type in the location when it is known. That way the change from one temporary location to another could be done by a macro, which would save a LOT of time when processing a cart of books with the same location change.

  20. Make Interface Admin and Usage Stats Information Usable from Alma

    It would be great if we could export username and password fields from the Administrative Information tab and Statistics Information tab located under the Vendor Interface Details page for each interface we have in Alma. As it is now, it is not possible to export this information using Analytics. We are currently required to either provide more access than is necessary for users who are tasked with collecting usage, or maintain a separate spreadsheet/database with URLs, usernames and passwords, which is an ongoing duplication of effort as these change frequently.
