It can be useful if Primo VE display the number of loans per item under the get It section.

Enhance the database search to include keyword searching
Currently the Database Search in Primo VE is limited to searching for words from the title. This is unsatisfactory as many databases have vague and uninformative titles. We need broader search capabilities and would like the search to also include categories, subjects and descriptions.

Reconcile top-level facet selection (one by one vs. multiple)
Currently, if you select top-level facets one by one (e.g. "Peer-reviewed Journals" then "Full Text Online"), you get different results than if you select both facets at once (using the checkboxes and clicking "Apply Filters".) The first applies a boolean AND and the second applies a boolean OR.
Ex Libris support has confirmed that this intended and expected behavior.
This functionality seems confusing to both our patrons and staff. I think I can see the argument if this occurs within certain other facets (e.g. Resource Type), but because this happens with top-level facets that do not otherwise seem like the…

Collection Discovery: search in all sub-collections
We would like to allow the user to use the Collection Discovery interface also for discovery. Currently, it is only possible to search at the collection level. It is important to enabling a search across all levels of all collections as the user cannot know in which collection/sub-collections to search for needed items.
Following are a couple of user stories:
* We have various collections of photos. We would like to allow the user to search across the various collections and sub-collections for the pictures of the Knossos temple. We have relevant photos in two different sub-collections.
* We would…63 votesThank you for posting this suggestion, we are checking the option to suggest the user to expand the search to the sub collections below as also mentioned in the roadmap.

Provide Toggle Checkbox When Including Results with No Full-Text
Please provide a toggle checkbox when the setting is configured to include results with no full-text. We would like to present all results by default and then let a person remove unwanted results (i.e., results with no full text).
The current setup is the reverse and is contrary to the idea of filtering. People use filters to narrow their search results, not expand them.
Also, I know there is a Full-Text Online facet, but this only appears after you select a resource type facet. Therefore, this method is not convenient to achieve the same thing.
Thanks,

Primo Back Office: In a consortial environment, Ability to localize Alma collections to a specific instance of Primo
Hello.
Our university system is in a consortial configuration of Alma and Primo Back Office.
Currently, we cannot use Alma collections because one university's (local and institution-specific) collections display in all other Primo instances in our consortia. This is problematic and confusing because a collection at University A displays in University B's Primo as if it were University B's collection. But the collection is local and specific to University A only.
The "collections" I'm talking about are described in the following Exlibris documentation: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/ProductDocumentation/010AlmaOnlineHelp(English)/040ResourceManagement/050Inventory/050ManagingCollections

PCI to recognise the elements of a DOI to find the item
Errors in search results are likely to occur when users are searching for DOIs from citations. DOIs are often formatted differently in citations or online but the user will naturally just copy-paste the DOI as it appears. If the user searches for this 10.1016/j.acalib.2008.10.014 in Primo Central - you find the article. However if you search for http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.acalib.2008.10.014 as it might be displayed in a citation, the article is not found. Anything preceding the DOI registry number (including doi:10.1016 for eg) will not result in a successful search.

Create link for patron to report issue with Primo Central Record
This idea comes from a ticket submitted by a professor last week regarding a journal article resource that was marked as "peer reviewed" in PCI incorrectly. She reported it to us and we reported it to ExLibris, but it would seem more efficient to include a link that could report the problem directly to ExLibris for PCI content. I imagine something similar to the "report an issue" link found in google books: https://www.screencast.com/t/BdLZo2tR6D

Put useful data into the RSS feeds created by Primo
Technically RSS feeds created by Primo are working. But from a content perspective the feed is a mess.
Let's start with the feed header:
Primo delivers <rss version="2.0">
The standard specification are at http://www.rssboard.org/rss-specification . It was published in August 2002. The RSS 2.0 specification is copyrighted by Harvard University and is frozen. Please use RFC 4287 also known as Atom.
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4287
It is simply the better option for may reasons.
http://www.intertwingly.net/wiki/pie/Rss20AndAtom10ComparedThe description of the feed is <title>Records from Primo</title> .
As a user I would like to see my search terms in the feed title - like in…62 votes -
Increase the number of records allowed in the “View Online” tab
Right now, only 25 records can be displayed under the “view online” tab in Primo. If this limit is increased, or removed entirely, libraries will have greater flexibility when creating collections. For example, we have 48 local portfolios that we linked to a single bib record, and we would like all of those portfolios to be displayed under the “view online” tab of that item. So, we propose removing the limit altogether, allowing libraries to decide how many records they want to appear under the “view online” tab. We worked on this project with Ex Libris, and they ultimately advised…

Allow admin to select in what order Resource Types are displayed
Currently the Resource Types can only be arranged alphabetically or by count (how often the type appears in search results). We would like to be able to preference certain types above others (for example, books, ebooks, articles...over things like Text Resources. So that for any search, the Resource Types are always arranged the same way and in a way that is most helpful for users.

Add ability to select multiple options on Advanced Search drop down menus in Primo VE
It is not currently possible to select multiple options on an Advanced Search drop down menu is Primo VE (ex: Material Type, Language); this functionality would be very helpful for users who wish to do more precise searching -- especially since Primo VE lacks the functionality of combining search results. This functionality is the HTML select multiple attribute (https://www.w3schools.com/tags/attselectmultiple.asp)

Alternative Coverage & Newspaper Search in PCI/CDI
We rely on PCI alternative coverage for maintaining the best discovery layer as this enables full text access to results obtained from known-item searches and topic searches. Using both PCI alternative coverage and the Newspaper Search together present challenges. Using both of these options together result in too many false positives; false positives disappoint users and erode their trust in our discovery system.
Please consider including the Newspaper Search with the regular Primo Central updates that are compared against our institutional electronic holdings file so the Availability statements are correct. As we look ahead to the introduction of CDI, please…

Version control system for back office configuration
A version control system for back office configuration tables, pipes, normalization rules etc.
For files like Custom HTML, CSS, JS, PDS etc. we can manage change history and revert to older versions by using version control systems like Git, Subversion etc. For configuration managed via the web back office and database this is not possible, but it is a vital feature of professional system management. This will become more important in a full SaaS environment.59 votes -
View Primo as someone else / different types of users
View Primo as "someone else". It would be useful to view our Primo-page as different types of users. Being able to view Primo as an internal user, or a student, or staff member, or an external user, would help us troubleshoot configuration and settings in Alma. Have we activated the right functionality for the different user groups? Have we hidden what we want to hide?
tl;dr: Facebook's "View as" functionality in Primo.

Show the terms added to the patron's query by the linguistic features (i.e. stemming, synonyms etc.)
As default behavior, Primo not only looks for the patron's query, but enriches the original keywords of the user with additional terms, in order to improve the performance.
The system first tries to guess the language of the query, and then tries to enrich it, using a variety of steps described in the Linguistic Features section of the documentation: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/ProductDocumentation/TechnicalGuide/120Linguistic_Features
For example, a query for the string: Birne
if recognised as German, is enriched with following synonyms (dictionary file as to March 2017):gluehbirne(normal),gluehlampe(normal),lampe(normal),leuchte(normal),leuchtkoerper(normal),haupt(normal),kopf(normal),ruebe(normal),schaedel(normal)
The point is that the whole thing is a blackbox for both the librarian…
