cursor location after clearing search box
Choosing "new search" puts the cursor in the search box. But when I click on the small x to clear the search terms, I would like the cursor to return to the search box.

Would like FRBR member boosting to be cone at institution level so multi tenant can select default record type(e over print etc...)
Currently in a multi tenant environment some variables are only at the installation level and can't be changed. My example is the FRBR for print always shows, where we would prefer the electronic:
As total care can we do this making the Ebook or electronic version be the first on the brief display rather than the print?

Truncation within parenthesis
We would like Primo to work with searching with truncation even within parenthesis, like this:
"soccer injur*"
would return for example:
soccer injury

add a check box feature in the "Refine my Results" lists on the left column in each facet
The value of the faceted search is that it leads the searcher quickly and efficiently to the desired result. The checkbox facet type lets users select multiple values.
We would like to add a check box feature in the "Refine my Results" lists on the left column in each facet, as is already being done in the "More options" links therein. The reason for this request is that in our opinion, the user will notice from the beginning this option exists in the facet, and it will facilitate his search. Some users don't click "More options", and thus they will…19 votes -
PCI Collection List in a .csv or similiar format
It would be great to have the PCI Collection List in .csv or similar format. It's time consuming to convert it to a format that is usable. It would be great to be able to easily deduplicate with the PCI Activations export and compare from version to version so we can easily see what collections have been added to the PCI without having to spend hours eyeballing or converting the document.

Expand FRBR group of records within the search results
I suggest the ability to expand a FRBR group of records within the search results, rather than the "view multiple versions" link showing a new page of records, from which you have to go back to the original results, isn't a good user experience. This would work nicely with infinite scrolling in the new Primo UI.
It should be possible to set a threshold for the number of records in a FRBR group this should happen for, e.g. six because most of our FRBR groups are for up to six editions of a title, whereas others are for tens of…

Persistent "Number of results to display" setting
As a user, I would like the "Number of results to display" setting in the "My Account" area to be persistent for my user account.
Currently, this setting is dependent on a browser cookie and/or system cache. As a security measure, many users clear caches and cookies when they close their browser. This results in the setting reverting to a default value when they next log in to Primo.
Having this setting directly associated with a user's Primo account would provide a more consistent user experience.

Full integration of Syndetics enrichment content
Syndetic Solutions enrichment content should be indexed in Primo, to aid the retrieval of books (especially by chapter titles in TOCs) and displayed inline in the new Primo UI. The acquisition of Ex Libris by Proquest should make this commercially easier to arrange, and it should be technically easier on the Primo "cloud" platform.

Increase number of citations that can be pushed to citation manager tools
Our users would like to be able to send more than the current limit of 30 citations at a time to tools like Refworks and Easybib.

Provide PCI collection updates in Customer Center
Primo Central Index new collection updates are sent in email, which can be easily lost. Provide the monthly update lists in the Customer Center (as is done with SFX weekly updates).

PCI to recognise the elements of a DOI to find the item
Errors in search results are likely to occur when users are searching for DOIs from citations. DOIs are often formatted differently in citations or online but the user will naturally just copy-paste the DOI as it appears. If the user searches for this 10.1016/j.acalib.2008.10.014 in Primo Central - you find the article. However if you search for http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.acalib.2008.10.014 as it might be displayed in a citation, the article is not found. Anything preceding the DOI registry number (including doi:10.1016 for eg) will not result in a successful search.

Add a pre-filter for Peer-reviewed Journals
Our students would like the option to pre-filter their searches to articles published in Peer-reviewed journals. The current Primo configuration only allows this filter as a refining facet after searching.

Display "Sign in to check request options" message/link on a higher level
Display the "Sign in to check request options" message/link on a higher level than for each location? That would make it much more visible for customers, instead of having to click on individual locations drop down links.

Combine permalinks with citations in Primo
In Primo, the ability to copy citations is very useful, as is the ability to copy permalinks for individual records. When helping a patron via virtual reference (chat or email), it is cumbersome to, first, open and copy the citation, and second, open copy the permalink. It would make more sense to either hyperlink the citation with a stable link, or include the permalink after the citation in the same window.

A report of "full text available" records in Primo Central for each institution
It would be great to be able to get a report of the institutional holdings that have been matched to records in Primo Central, so that they are indexed as "full text available" for the institution. This would enable libraries to see which active portfolios in each SFX KB target / Alma CZ collection are indexed at all in Primo Central, and how much of the holdings of each serial are indexed. Libraries could then use this to indicate to users which journals and collections cannot be found in Primo Central. It would also be useful to see gaps in…

Enable Full Text Searching
Enable full text searching for all searches as opposed to only as an enhanced search when results are low. This is especially confusing for when the same search can return less results after a user logs in.

Include "Browse Search" link on advanced search pages.
Right now the "browse search" link is offered on the basic simple search page, but not on the advanced search page. For libraries that primarily link to the advanced search page, that link is buried.

Version control system for back office configuration
A version control system for back office configuration tables, pipes, normalization rules etc.
For files like Custom HTML, CSS, JS, PDS etc. we can manage change history and revert to older versions by using version control systems like Git, Subversion etc. For configuration managed via the web back office and database this is not possible, but it is a vital feature of professional system management. This will become more important in a full SaaS environment.59 votes
