Tags Management in consortium level environment
The Tags Management page is only available to institution level in a non-sharing environment and this is not available in a consortium level environment.
So staff users can't delete tags, which is a problem.
Please make it available for all environment.

Offer phone view to low-end devices
On mid-tier devices, such as a low-end laptop or a Surface Pro, Primo is very slow to respond, and quickly pegs the CPU doing trivial tasks such as simply scrolling the page. After doing some benchmarking on an Android phone, we discovered that some of the performance issues can be mitigated by rendering the phone view. I request that the more efficient phone view be available to lower-end devices.

[Primo] - add tag delivery/fulltext to local PNX , thus improving blended search and full text availability information
The feature "Expand My Results / Results with no full-text" allows to include in the search results PCI records with no full text. It relies on a pnx value in tag "fulltext" delivery section:
<delivery>
...
<fulltext>no_fulltext</fulltext>
</delivery>The problem is that <fulltext> tag / field is not available in the Normalization Rule for local records.
The consequence is for example that when we harvest data from our dpace institutional repository we may have fulltext, but sometimes we may have just metadata records. But without the delivery/fulltext field in the PNX we can't manage records with just metadata so that…

Allow the list of items in Favorites to be "printed" as a PDF file
Primo lacks a lot of functionality for printing - most modern data systems allow output of PDF files. This would enhance output on both traditional computers and portable devices.

Citation Linker does not ignore initial articles
The Journal search in the Citation Linker doesn't always ignore the initial article. I'm referring to "articles" in the grammar sense (the, a, an, etc). So for example, you get different "view it" results for Washington Post vs. The Washington Post. This isn't a huge issue, but it is confusing.

User management - Admin User can make a default "Patron has institutional record" as "Yes" or "No"
There is no possibility for an Admin User to set up the external or internal user account to be a default value (in "Patron has institutional record" as "Yes" or "No"). As we mostly create user accounts for our organization, we would like to have "Yes" as a default value. The settings update is currently considered as enhancement.

Don’t reload the app when clicking ‘new search’!
Instead of reloading the entire primo-explore app, we would like to wipe the search query and search results without reloading the app. This would improve mobile experience and also speed responsiveness for the desktop version.

Newspaper search featured collections autosearch should be optional
As currently implemented, clicking a Featured Newspaper collection link will "display all matching results for the selected category, From these results, users can then search within the selected category to narrow the search."
However, this can result in an enormous results set. As an example, we have a featured set that contains just two newspaper titles: the historic Los Angeles Times archive and the historic New York Times archive. Clicking the featured collection returns over 48 million results. There is nothing useful a patron can do with 48 million results.
Suggested alternative behavior: Upon clicking a Featured link, the search…

Display call number and/or barcode in list of fines in Primo
We like to display the alternative call number in the patron's list of fines in Primo for fees that are attached to an item. As well there should be the permanent call number or at least the item barcode in cases there is no alternative call number. Often, the items title is not sufficient to find the correct item in ALMA, and the staff at the circulation desks have problems to clarify witch items are concerned. In Alma the item barcode is already displayed in the list of fees/fines and this should be reflected in Primo as well.
This functionality…

Add wording to Advanced Search Box
Currently, unlike the Basic Search box, one cannot add wording in the Advanced Search box in the new Primo UI, like "Enter search terms", which is confusing as users don't know that they need to click in the first Advanced Search box to start searching. Even moving the cursor to the first Advanced Search box would help.
Thanks,
Ryan

Don't pre-populate the email address in the Saved Search/Email records pop-up
Currently, in the new Primo UI, the email address is pre-populated in the Saved Search/Email records pop-up. We would like the email address field to be empty.
Thanks,
Ryan

Mask Patron ID
Currently, only the password is masked in the sign-in form in the new Primo UI and we'd like the Patron ID (username) to be masked in the sign-in form as well.
Thanks,

Could Exlibris regularly update the list of common titles used by the Primo duplication detection vector?
Primo uses the duplicate detection vector to determine whether or not records will be deduped and merged in Primo.
One of the match criteria is full title. If two records have the same title and the title is not in the list of common titles, the records are assigned 600 points. (800 points or higher means the records will be dedupe/merged.)
The list of common titles is provided here: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Product_Documentation/Technical_Guide/180Files_Used_by_the_Dedup_Algorithm#wwconnect_header
It includes common titles such as annual report, bulletin, transactions... Unfortunately it does not include other common titles such as news, poems, plays... (See attached Excel file.)

Display only a certain amount of characters in the "Title" area for search results.
Several entries in the PCI, especially Book Reviews, have "incorrect" metadata provided by the vendor, which leads to extremely long titles being displayed in the results page. Having the ability to cap the display of these titles at a customizable number of maximum characters could help in such cases to clean up display (as many times correcting the metadata for these results is beyond ExLibris' capability/authority).

an "I Want It" button
The Penn State library has an “I want it” feature in its catalog, in the search results. It struck me as very direct and to the point. When you click it, it prompts you to sign into their system but I assume it would take you to a request form. I don’t know why they hide it under that three dot icon. I would like to see in Primo, if possible, an “I want it” button, not buried in a menu but right next to every book title in the Primo search result. The idea being that clicking “I want…

Subject Browse - allow merging of identical subject terms from different vocabularies
Right now, when I browse in my Primo by subject, I'm seeing a lot of subject headings repeated from different taxonomies. For example: Microbiology (EBPS), Microbiology (FAST), Microbiology (fast MESH), Microbiology (LCSH), Microbiology (LCSHKIDS FAST), Microbiology (MESH). This looks like a mess and is confusing for the user. I'd like to propose that where subject headings are identical between taxonomies, they be merged into one entry so the user doesn't have to check them all.

View Primo as someone else / different types of users
View Primo as "someone else". It would be useful to view our Primo-page as different types of users. Being able to view Primo as an internal user, or a student, or staff member, or an external user, would help us troubleshoot configuration and settings in Alma. Have we activated the right functionality for the different user groups? Have we hidden what we want to hide?
tl;dr: Facebook's "View as" functionality in Primo.

Switching the scope, within a tab, should invoke automatic search
When switching a scope, within a tab, automatic search is not invoked (if the Primo View is configured for automatic search when switching tabs).
This is counter-intuitive because the two dropdowns for tabs and scopes are next to each other but do not behave in the same way. Users are confused when nothing happens after they change the scope.
Here is an example of a Primo View with tabs and scopes. You'll see that changing CSUSM Collection to Media Library does not update the search results automatically. However, changing Books and More to CSU+ invokes the automatic search.
