Virtual Browse Improvements
We see great value in Primo’s virtual browse and would like to see it improved. As more libraries move physical collections offsite it is critical to provide comparable discovery and browse experiences in our online environments.
First, we would like to be able to embed the virtual browse into other places like our own library website or Springshare’s Libguides. This would increase visibility and usage of the virtual browse.
Second, we would like the user to be able to start a virtual browse by using a keyword or call number search.
Third, we would like the virtual browse to support e-resources out-of-the-box. There is already an idea for this titled “Incorporate e-resources in the Virtual Browse tab.”
Fourth, we would like the location of the item to display up front on the virtual browse.
