Primo NDE: option to select other filters for Quick Filters
In Primo NDE, the Quick Filters options are: Available online, Held by library, Peer-reviewed journals, and Open access.
We would like the option to be able to select other filters, such as Creation Date. In our library, Creation Date is the highest used filter and therefore we would like the option to select it as a Quick Filter.11 votesThis idea is accepted and will be examined for future plans.

Allow patrons to disable FRBR + disable FRBR in advanced search
Hi
Our patrons run into a lot of problems caused by FRBR.
Please
– Add a checkmark to allow the patrons to disable FRBR per search, no matter if logged in or not.
(like "Include articles without fulltext")– Make it a parameter in the patron settings
– Disable FRBR as default in advanced search
This could also be used as a feeble workaround for the missing exact search https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/18579556-add-a-true-exact-search-to-advanced-search-type
115 votesUnfortunately this idea will not be included in Primo 2025 roadmap due to other prioritizations. we do think it is a good idea for long term roadmap.

Hide completed purchase requests from the Primo MyAccount
Completed purchase requests (rejected or approved) should not be visible in the Primo MyAccount.
182 votesHi all,
We would like to update that we are planning to add this functionality to the Primo Next Discovery Experience User Interface.

Better Primo VE Menu Link Options
Custom menu links in Primo open in a new tabbed window. This is bad behavior. If I go back to the original screen and press the button again, it opens up another window in another tab, and so on.
Desired Behavior:
Menu link goes to address -- does not open a new window or tab. At the very least, it should have be an option for developers. Currently it is hard-coded in the html and not changeable. Using it leads to cluttered browsers.56 votesHi all,
After further consideration - we will add this to the roadmap in the new Primo Discovery Experience user interface.
Best regards,
Yael.

Primo VE: Ability to use norm rules to specify which 856 (Marc) fields display in Links service
In Primo Back Office (BO), it is possible to use normalization rules to specify which 856 Marc fields display in the "Links" section of the Primo full record view. (See attached screenshot.)
We would like the same functionality in Primo VE to choose which 856 links to display based on the 856 first and second indicators and/or the subfields of the 856 field. Thank you.

Filter journal holdings that can fulfill the request for an article
If an user has found an article that is not available electronic, but the library has the journal in print, the end user gets the list of holdings for the journal and can go into a specific holding to see the items.
In general we would like that when the end user has found an article they should only need to click on Request (or Digitize) and all relevant metadata are sent to Alma and the system selects the correct item to fulfill the request. If locate is not possible the librarian has enough information to work on the request.

623 votesHi all,
Thank you for this suggestion.
We would like to update that this suggestion is not included in the near Primo roadmap, however we do see this suggestion's value for the long term and we are willing to include it in a future roadmap.
Therefore we are moving this idea to "Accepted" status.

Generate citation on multiple pinned items
Our users make heavy use of the generate citation button, but they currently have to do this one record at a time. It would make things easier for them if they could pin all the relevant items, and then go into My Account, select all their pinned items, and generate a citation for all of them.
They can currently perform several actions by batch on all pinned items - email results, export to Refworks and so on - but the generate citation action is not yet available to them.
The citation that appears could be simply plaint text, with the…

View user request history
We would love to be able to view a user's request history in the Requests tab of their account. You can view Returns and Fines histories so why not Requests?
This would be very useful for students and staff! Thanks.224 votesHi all,

Enable journal coverage date ranges to be shown whilst still allowing direct linking.
Our students want Direct Linking enabled, because they expect to go straight to the full text of an item when they click on the search result. Our academics want to be able to see the range of dates for which we have access the journal title they've searched for, like they could when we were using SFX as our Journal search.
We have Direct linking enabled which means that journals we get from a single supplier go straight through to the journal without showing the coverage date range, causing numerous complaints from academics. We tried the solution suggested by the…
