Support viewing pptx files in Alma viewer
It would be good if it was possible to view pptx files (PowerPoint/slide decks) in Alma viewer.
This could enable better access to teaching and conference resources.

Add copyright statements to the job Generate Representation from Existing Bib
The August 2021 Alma release introduced the option for Access rights policies and Copyright Statements - Digital to be managed independently (we really like this thank you).
However, the Generate Representation from Existing Bib job does not have options for Extracting Copyright Statements from a subfield, nor a Default copyright statements field from a field in the bib record, or for setting a default copyright statement.Please enhance this job so that we can generate representations, ingest the files and set the copyright statement all in one go, rather than have to either edit the reps manually, or if they…

Alma Digital - Batch ingest make the first page always be the thumbnail
When doing batch ingest, it will auto-generated thumbnail.
Sometimes the thumbnail will generate other than first page.
When we migrate the images to Alma-D, the representation files are indicated XXX1.tiff, XXX2.tiff, XXX3.tiff, etc. The "first page" means XXX1.tiff.
We tried to use job called "Thumbnail generation", which use for generating thumbnail for each digital file in the manage set.
However, this job can only generate thumbnail randomly.The Alma-D experts said if thumbnail doesn’t exist in representation level, Alma-D will take the smallest PID sorted in ascending order as the thumbnail automatically.

Publish Alma-D to Google (Fulltext .txt, .pdf) and Google Images (.jpg, .tiff etc.)
Provide option to Publish collection from Alma to Google (files of type .txt, .pdf for full-text indexing by Google) and Google Images (in the case of img formats .jpg, .tiff, etc.)
This is an alternative to Primo discovery layer (Google is moderately popular search engine, Bing and Baidu etc.)
https://images.google.com (or click Images tab in Google) show photos and thumbnails from all over the Internet, and Google allow you to upload an image and search where it came from or similar images which may be helpful to publish/assert the origins of a file.

Make Digital representation metadata indexed for searching in Primo
During our current implementation of Alma Digital, we have noticed that the representation metadata is not indexed for searching in Primo. We would like this to be possible so that users are able to search using details from the representation details such as chapter title.
Product management responded hat - The model of partial / special representations (such as chapters, issues, audio tracks etc) is designed for a multi-part entity, adding representation-level details, such as chapter numbers. However – these additional details aren’t catalogued in Primo but mainly designed to allow filtering or sorting of representations in the viewIt service.

Viewer service rule based on search set
It's great that Alma provides the option to add your own Viewer Services for presenting content from Alma Digital.
We're interested in offering customized viewers to display content from some special collections, but with the current Service Availability Rules, it's not possible to limit a viewer to specific collections.
It would be great if you could create a Service Availability Rule based on a Set, so the viewer would be shown for all members of that set.

We would like to suggest the support for custom CSS in Universal Viewer.

Alma Digital - Collection, Access rights and Representations
Hello,
There are a few features that are missing from Alma Digital that we would be happy if they were added:
1.
Add the ability to search in the "Title list" of a Digital Collection according to MMS ID, Representation ID and author.
2.
Add the ability to make some of the fields "Required". For example, we would like the "Access Rights" to be a required field.
3.
Add the ability to move a file from one representation to another (just as you can change the holdings of an item).

Customize Alma Digital viewer login menu with Mashup CSS file
Use Alma's Mashup CSS file (or other CSS file) to customize the Alma login menu used by Alma Digital Viewer.
As for today, this is not available and appeared as inconsistent (colors, font, size, accessibility...etc), with other pages inside
Alma. There is no way to provide any additional help information for the user on the login screen other than just the labels,
and the use of the labels are limited by the OTB CSS configuration.7 votes -
Please separate Download and Print control function
- There is Allow Download option on Access Rights configuration and we want it to be separated to Allow Download option(the viewer – the Download and Save As) and Allow Print option(Print button).
Even users are not allowed to download some digital contents, still there are needs to print them out for personal researches, like ILL staff don't send the whole file but provide printed papers upon requests.
- Whether or not the print function is going to be separated, it would be better if there is a setting to adjust the maximum number of pages users can print, like many e-book…

Alma Digital Support for an auto-captioning service
Many video streaming services now have an auto-captioning service, .i.e., Youtube, where captions are auto-generated for video content. Since we are legislated to caption our video content, Alma Digital could include this feature and save us months of work.

Allow Access Rights Policies and Copyright to be applied to remote digital representations
Checking the "Remote" box when adding a digital representation causes the Access Rights Policy and Copyright fields to disappear, even when we choose to display the digital object in the Alma Viewer.
If the Alma Viewer is selected, we should be able to apply the same Access Rights and Copyright to remote files as we can to files stored in Alma. This is especially important as more CDL functionality is added to Alma.

Alma 상의 Digital Uploader 나 Add Digital Representation 에서 업로드 가능한 단일 파일 용량을 500MB -> 5GB (AWS 허용 용량) 로 확대해 주시길 부탁드립니다.
저희는 Alma-D 를 통해 간접적으로 AWS S3 를 이용하고 있는 것인데 AWS S3 가 지원하는 최대 5GB 까지의 업로드 기능을 Alma 에서 제한하는 것을 이해하기 어렵습니다.
또한, 파일과 메타 연결 및 퍼블리싱이라는 Alma 의 기능을 이용하기 위해 Ex Libris 에서 책임지지도 않는 서드파티 툴을 이용해야만 한다는 것 역시 고객에게는 이해가 어려운 부분입니다.

Enhance reporting for digital import profiles to harvest remote repositories
Currently the report generated after a digital import profile to harvest metadata from a remote repository has run is extremely minimal. It just states that a job "completed with errors", see attached file.
I'd like to recommend 3 enhancements. The first is to provide more information about the errors. For example, the harvest failed because the records listed below are invalid. The second recommendation is to provide a maximum error threshold like what is currently available in Primo. Lastly, integrate an option to strip any HTML and escape invalid characters as part of an import profile normalization process.

Display access rights' copyright statement when editing a representation
Optionally an access right policy in Alma can have a copyright statement associated with it.
When editing a representation in Alma, the existence of the copyright statement is not displayed to the user. The user can enter another copyright statement for the representation which overrides the one associated with the access rights policy.
I would expect that the copyright statement should at minimum, be displayed to the user so they do not have to guess if this is an access rights policy where they must also assign a copyright statement.

Create or modify XMP, IPCT or Exif metadata of digital assets in batch
The owner or copyright statement in the XMP, IPCT or Exif metadata of a digital object stored in Alma can change. If this happens, you need to export the digital Objects like PDFs or images change the XMP, IPCT or Exif metadata and reimport the assets. By consequence, the docid changes and permalinks to these images are not valid anymore.
It would be useful, if Alma could create or modify XMP, IPCT or Exif metadata of digital assets stored in the AWS cloud in bulk.5 votes -
Link to viewer from record in Collections lobby for digital records
We'd like the option to link directly from the record in the collections lobby to the viewer. We think users are largely interested in getting directly to the resource for digital collections and as the metadata can be displayed in the viewer going to the full record screen before the viewer is an unnecessary step.

Expanded XML for Delivery Registration Status letter
In setting up the Delivery Registration Status Letter used by Controlled Digital Lending we've found the item information available in the XML to be incredibly sparse. Currently the only information about the item is the Primo URL and title (only subfield a).
We'd like to see the XML for this letter expanded to include at least the author, edition, and publication information. Ideally, the XML for this letter would have somewhat comparable item information to what can be found for Fulfillment letters sent to patrons about physical items (e.g., On Hold Shelf Letter, Ful Cancel Request Letter, etc.).

Allow batch deletion of digital collections
Batch creation is possible by EAD import, but batch deletion is impossible. Even though batch deletion for a collection with its sub-collections is allowed, there are limitations that the collections should be empty and must be in the same hierarchy. It would be great if I can make a set with the scattered empty collections' PIDs and delete them at once, as long as there is no sub-collection of the to-be-deleted collection.

Alma Digital Viewer to be able to specify and limit the format and size of the download image
For a representation:
.In the Alma Viewer or Universal Viewer to be able to specify and limit the format and size of the download image.
.In the Universal Viewer to be able to disable/hide the 'Whole Image (original format)'and 'Current View (jpg)' download options and specify and limit the size of the image available in the 'Whole image (jpg)' option.Or, in some other way make it possible to view a large image (representation) in the Universal Viewer and from the download link there be able to download only a small jpg of a chosen size.
