The other idea submitted by Stephanie is now stated as Completed with the October 2021 Release (as I see it is in Alma when checked), but it strangely wasn't added to the October 2021 Notes.

It is good news that this idea is complete, but why wasn't it included in the October 2021 Release Notes that the Description field is added now also to Requests?

The original request for this feature submitted by wanting chun was partially implemented July 2021 (description column now available for loans and returns tab of patron services). This idea is a slightly modified version of that one, available here:

We opened a case with Ex Libris, and have been advised that description was only added to loan and returns, and not requests tab. (Please note that for some users you may need to reset your view options to default and then add the description column to your loan or return tab view prior to being able to view the description column.) Our analyst recommended we open a new idea exchange request for an enhancement to also add it to the requests tab--we will do so and post a comment here to link the two, but are frustrated that this is the path forward, since this idea already has a lot of support. I hope that the Ex Libris team will clarify that their implementation of this idea was only partial here and in the Alma 2021 release notes for July, since it is causing confusion.

(Idea partially implemented July 2021 when idea submitted by wanting chun was put into place for loan and return tabs on the patron services page--description still needs to be added to the requests tab as per that enhancement request, which is reposted and lightly edited here)

Currently, there is no Description field in Patron Services page for the requests tab. Library staff are not able to immediately recognize which issue, volume, or number is requested by a patron at a glance in this page.

When circulation desk staff help patron to check or see their loans in Request tab, Description field is not visible.
Or, if a patron requests different issues under the same title at a time, when he/she comes to circulation desk and wants to pick up his/her requested items, library staff will need to spend more steps to check the Description of each item. This takes too much time when it is busy at circulation desk.

Please also add Description field into the Request tab in Patron Services page as per the original enhancement idea, thank you!

This should not be marked as Completed. The request clearly states: "Please add Description field to all three tabs in Patron Services page: Loan tab, Return tab, and Request tab" and yet it is only added to the Loans tab in the July 2021 Release.
