Allow Reinstatement of Fines/Fees
Fines are occasionally processed in error or you might need to reinstate a fine payment taken on someone's account. We would like the ability to reinstate fines that have previously been paid or waived.

Reverting status of fines and fees would require careful privilege management, and may have negative implication in terms of managing fee auditing and implications on fulfillment, such as anonymization. The currently recommended practice is to manually create a new fine with a proper comment

It is incomprehensible to me why this important idea is not being implemented. Other library systems also offer this option. Unfortunately, it always happens that fees are "paid" too early with one click and the user doesn't pay after all. Sometimes technical problems, for example with a payment machine, are the cause. Creating a new fee is not only very time-consuming, the new fee also does not correspond to the old one. The subsequent fee steps per job can therefore not be carried out on time, and it is much more difficult to argue with the user if a longer reminder case arises. And the creation of a new fee is more critical in terms of privilieges than the automated re-creation of the old one. Please reconsider your decision and implement this important idea.

I do not accept your reasons for closing this heavily supported "idea". We practise careful privilege management anyway. A new fine - comment or no comment - has a different creation date, which has negative implications for fines/fees notification jobs, for example. I would be content with the possibility to reinstate a paid or waived fee on the same day the payment or waiving took place. In most cases - misunderstandings, empty purses, miscalculations - that option would help a lot. Please, please reconsider.

Chciałbym, żeby dodać na koncie czytelnika - od strony czytelnika, a nie systemu bibliotecznego! - możliwość rezygnacji z zamówieni, kasowania takiego.
Drugie to możliwość samodzielnego przedłużenia zamówienia-rezerwacji.

its very important function that missing! now we can only waive/pay the fine. we can't do anything with the row that was waived/payed. some times the waive/payment is made by mistake and we have to create another row in order to mark it in the system that it was payed/waived differently...instead of restoring the row and making on it a correct action.
that and more: if by mistake librarian chose incorrect reason for waiving, we can't edit the row and the incorrect reason stays there and so the stats are all wrong...
the same is, by the way, about active row which is created by librarian. if for some reason fine type or amount were entered incorrectly, we can't edit it...
