Make the SAVE button more prominent on the Invoice Screen
I have had a suggestion from my staff to make the SAVE button on the invoice screen more prominent. We have several workflows where one person puts an invoice in review and then it is checked by a second person before moving to In Approval. We have discovered that the incidences of someone hitting SAVE & CONTINUE rather than SAVE in the new Alma interface has increased. When we looked at the old interface versus the new, we discovered that that SAVE is now white and much fainter. At least having it the same color or size I think would lessen the confusion.

What about changing the wording on the buttons to clarify, e.g. "SAVE CHANGES" and/or "SAVE & SEND FOR APPROVAL"?

I would like to recommend that if you hit SAVE & CONTINUE you get a warning popup saying something like:" This invoice is about to go into approval and no further editing will be permitted without it being returned to 'review status' by an authorized manager"
With choices like:
'CONFIRM?' 'CANCEL?'
We get so many warnings about things that don't matter at all and can be reversed easily if we do make a mistake, I never understood why this critical action, that is hard for your average employee to reverse, doesn't have a popup warning of its own.

I absolutely agree with this idea. The old interface versus the new-- the SAVE is now white and much fainter. Staff here were attaching PDFs to invoices and hitting save and continue instead of save. Save and continue is much more prominent because of the dark background colour. This is a real problem because hitting SAVE AND CONTINUE on the invoices that had the status of waiting for payment changed this status to closed! Our system closed invoices when it imports payment data from our central finance interface so we need them to remain as waiting for payment. I like the idea of the user being able to decide which buttons are more prominent. At least change it back to how it was.
I'm out of votes right now but when I can I will add some.

Or leave it as it was in the old UI.

We would like the oposite in the Purchase order screen. The save button is more prominent than the Save and continue button, and the confusion between the two leaves a lot of orders in Review. Perhaps the solution for both requests is to let the user decide which button will be more prominent?
