Customize gender description for NONE
We would like to be able to customize the gender field to change the description for the code NONE.
Australian legislation now requires the University to supporting the following in capturing gender data:
"18. Where sex and/or gender information is collected and recorded in a personal record, individuals should be given the option to select M (male), F (female) or X (Indeterminate/Intersex/Unspecified)." -- http://www.ag.gov.au/Publications/Documents/AustralianGovernmentGuidelinesontheRecognitionofSexandGender/AustralianGovernmentGuidelinesontheRecognitionofSexandGender.doc
The existing description is hard-coded and uses the term "None'. EL advised us to use the code NONE for this purpose. However the description is not appropriate for describing people who do not identify as either Male or Female, and it confuses between those who have no value in the field and NONE in their records.
Being able to modify this will help customer service staff understand how they can respectfully address and refer to our customers who identify as neither male or female. eg. use of they/their instead of he/his or she/her.
As of July release institutions can change the values of the list of user genders to conform with their local legislation.

We agree that non-binary should be added as an option for gender.

To be inclusive I am asking you to add non-binary as an option when choosing gender in the system. MALE - FEMALE -NONE OR OTHER - is not a comprehensive list. Non-binary is a preferred term.
