Alma Digital Viewer to be able to specify and limit the format and size of the download image
For a representation:
.In the Alma Viewer or Universal Viewer to be able to specify and limit the format and size of the download image.
.In the Universal Viewer to be able to disable/hide the 'Whole Image (original format)'and 'Current View (jpg)' download options and specify and limit the size of the image available in the 'Whole image (jpg)' option.Or, in some other way make it possible to view a large image (representation) in the Universal Viewer and from the download link there be able to download only a small jpg of a chosen size.

Repository search: fulltext of digital files
We'd like to be able to search the full text of digital files in Alma's repository search. This could be useful in situations where multiple files are attached to a title; searching the full text on the title level in Primo will not guide you to the correct file, but a file-level repo search would.
We see that there is a "fulltext" search index for digital files, but it looks like that index is for the type of full text file (it doesn't search the contents of the full text).3 votes -
MODS metadata profile: add forms for deposit
Currently the MODS metadata profile does not include a "forms" tab on which to design a patron deposit form. Without this tab, we assume that patron deposits are limited to Dublin Core or MARC. This request is submitted both to get feedback on the viability of such a change (would it be a relatively small or large effort for Ex Libris), and to gauge the degree of demand for this feature among other libraries.

Authority control for MODS and DC
My understanding is that authority control is not applied to Dublin Core or MODS metadata (particularly when that metadata is stored and managed in Alma, not as external records). We're interested in controlling name and subject headings in DC or MODS records so that headings are updated when authorities change, and so that these headings appear in Primo browse lists.

Please add Collection Name (for Digital) to search index for creating a digital title set. There is only collection pid field. Alternatively, please allow Keyword index refers Collection Name too.

Import profiles for dublin core bib update
We can create a repository type import profile to update/remove fields of a set of MARC records or POLs but cannot for DC records. It would be great if we can match and update dublin core bibs by importing an xlsx or xml file.

Add multiple Terms and Conditions for different deposit forms
Add multiple Terms and Conditions for different deposit forms.
We're using patron deposit forms for different material types (syllabi, theses, archival materials). There's only one "file" under Config > Resources > Deposit > Terms and Conditions
All we can do is edit a single "terms and conditions file" for all deposits. Documentation is found at the link below and seems to allude to multiple files, but support says there's only one to customize.3 votes -

Add Close Caption file information to Alma Analytics
We need to report on the status of our digital collection, including which videos are close captioned. This data is not available in Alma Analytics. How hard would it be to add this to the "Digital Inventory" table?

Allow a user to change their close-caption settings such as placement, size of text, color of text, and background color.

Please provide more flexibility for creating video file thumbnails
It would be great if Alma provides more flexibility for creating video file thumbnails. For example,
1) Creating a couple more thumbnails and letting the user to choose one
2) Taking the frame in the middle of the whole clip
3) Giving the user a configurable option to set the timing, etc.Now thumbnail generation for video is taking the frame in second 1 (00:00:01) - and make it the thumbnail of the video file. Consequently many of thumbnails look alike because mostly there is a few seconds of 'opening' or fade-in effect.

Index MODS fields
The documentation on this page (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/Metadata_Management/180Search_Indexes) suggests that MODS fields are not currently included in many internal search indexes. We would like to see MODS fields included in applicable internal indexes, or (if such indexing is already in place) better documentation of this indexing.

Alma Digital - Allow digital object controls in Full screen view as well as the minimized view
Right now when a user views a digital object in the Alma, particularly a PDF, they have all the controls for zooming, moving to a particular page, etc., only when they they are the viewer is in a frame within the larger Primo window, with the metadata at the side etc. No functionality is available in full screen mode except to escape full screen mode. It would make for a much better experience for users if they had these functions in full screen mode as well, particularly since many of them would be reading the content on a laptop screen…

Include Universal Viewer statistics in Alma Analytics
Alma Analytics does not include file view statistics for the Universal Viewer - only the Alma Viewer is counted.
If you have the Universal Viewer enabled then the files viewed figure in Analytics (Analytics Digital Usage reports > Digital Usage Measures table > Number of digital file views) does not include the Universal Viewer.2 votes -
Alma Digital: Option to unsuppress bib when mark object active
When working in Alma Digital and you change an object to Inactive, you are prompted about suppressing the bibliographic record, which is great. We want that. However, if changing it back to Active, you do not get that same prompt - you have to go into the Metadata Editor to unsuppress the bibliographic record. It would be really helpful if we could unsuppress the record when making an Digital Object active again.

MARC or DC format in ALMA makes any differnce in primo represenation?
While ingesting the exam papers in alma D from an institutional repository,
which format would need to be considered MARC or DC? Would DC
format will appear in Primo same as like MARC? or it will represent differently in primo?
Please let me know the Pros and Cons of both formats from all points of view.

Color inverted thumbnails from CYMK images
If you upload PDFs that contain images from the CMYK color model (used for printing) the generated thumbnail is colour inverted. Only images from the RGB color model are correct. Alma should generate correct thumbnails from both the RGB color model and the CMYK color model.

Alma Digital - Search By Patron/Depositor
When using the Patron Deposit form in Alma Digital, the options to search the deposits do not include searching by the depositor's name. There is the option to search by patronID(not the primary ID, but rather a database ID), but this requires someone to lookup the patronID and is not efficient.
We would like to request searching by the depositor's name be added to Alma Digital.

Allow repeatable fields in "Add Representation form" in Alma
Allow repeatable fields in "Add Representation form" in Alma. For instance, an article may contain two or more authors. If you allow repeatable fields in "Add Representation Form", library staff can input additional contributors to the article.

Allow digital collection items to be restricted by campus in Primo like electronic portfolios
We would like to be able to limit the visibility of an item in a digital collection based on the the campuses we have set up in Alma in the same way that we can do with electronic Portfolios.
If we set up a digital collection item that is a database for example, we would like to have it only display in Primo under digital items if the current view is aligned with the campus that is allowed to see and access that digital item.
EG: We have a database "Cinahl" that we subscribe to for the RMH campus, but…
