Improve import profiles to create multiple holdings
The import profiles to load bibliographic records and attach holdings and items are currently limited to only ONE holdings record per bibliographic record. We would like the ability to create multiple holdings records, one for each distinctive call number. After loading records, if we have multiple copies it is manual work to create new holdings records when the holdings have all been merged into one.

I must express my disappointment, as the original intent of the import profile was to accelerate record processing. Having the ability to create new bibliographic records along with multiple holdings in one step would have been extremely helpful.
The suggested workaround requires additional effort on our side, which feels less efficient. While we will proceed with separate imports as necessary, I strongly encourage Ex Libris to consider adding this capability in future releases to better support libraries’ operational needs. -

I can confirm that the import profile type "Repository" is not adequate to a data model where a separate holding for every single item is used. In our case, the import profile use an existing holding, instead of generating a new one. It would be desirable if the import profile offered a choice regarding the data model used.

This idea is so vital for our institution where we hold multiple volumes or multi-copies of a work and need these represented in a historic library. Only half our items are visible as this is currently not possible. Please implement.
