Automate Manage Digital Representations in reading lists
When processing reading lists we sometimes have two citations in the same list which reference different chapters or page ranges for the same BIB record (i.e. two digital representations on the same BIB).
We understand that if we want to only display the relevant chapter for each citation then we have to use 'Manage Digital Representations' which we turn on by changing the Customer Setting displaydigitalrepresentations to false. Otherwise both (or all) will display for each citation.
But this means we have to manage the digital representation for EVERY citation with digital representations that are linked to a BIB record. This adds additional work for library staff where the majority of BIB records only have one digital representation.
Solution would be automatic management of citations where there is only one digital representation on the BIB linked to the citation. So then staff only have to manage the ones where there are multiple digital representations displaying.
