Alma Metadata Editor needs a "delete portfolio" option.
When am in the MD Editor, looking at a record for an e-resource, I can "View Inventory" to display the portfolios. From that half of the screen, I can view or edit the portfolios. Within that view or edit, I can click on the "Linking" tab and "Test access". If I find that the link has expired and the portfolio needs to be deleted, I want to be able to delete it at this point. But I have to return to the bib. record, release it, exit the editor, click back as many times as it takes to return to the search results display, then click on the "More actions" ellipses, and "Delete" before I can finally delete that portfolio. If there is more than one portfolio, I might assume that they are displayed in the reverse order of the way they appear within the MD Editor, but I verify that--which requires several more clicks. It takes 23 Alma steps to open, view, backtrack, and finally delete an old portfolio.
Thank you for the idea, a delete action will be added for each portfolio presented in the MDEditor-> View Inventory

I just want to add that I hope this can be carefully implemented with permissions in mind. There may be some metadata editors who should only be able to edit physical inventory, not electronic.

Hello,
we too find having this feature very useful and time saving. In the end we would like to have the similar option as it is for physical inventory. So we would have a Delete button next to the View, Edit.

A less cumbersome deletion process for ebook portfolios in general would be much appreciated -- not just for those with expired links.
What concerns me most currently is how easy it seems to accidentally delete the contents of an entire collection, when the intention was to delete only a single portfolio within that collection.
When I was first taught how to delete portfolios, I nearly did that thanks to an ambiguous "delete" message at the bottom of the collection screen (see attached).
If this said "Delete collection" instead of "Delete" that would have helped greatly.
Thanks for considering!

1. Compose simple search.
2. Click the magnifying glass icon.
3. Click on bib. title.
4. Click on "Edit" button.
5. Click on "View Inventory" icon.
6. Click on portfolio "Edit" button.
7. Click on "Linking" tab.
8. Click on "Test access" button.
9. Click on "view full text" link.
10. View resource, then click on browser tab to close it.
11. Click on "Back" button.
12. Click on "Cancel" button.
13. At this point, back in the MD Editor, I should have the option to delete the portfolio. But I don't, so I have to: open the "File" menu and select "Release Record".
14. Click "Yes" confirmation button.
15. Use one of the options to exit the MD Editor (except Ctrl-Q does not work.)
16. Click on the "Back" button.
17. If there are multiple portfolios, go through the steps to confirm that the portfolio now displayed on the "Electronic Portfolios" results screen is the same one ascertained as bad in the MD Editor. Shortest way: Click the "Test access" button.
18. Click on "view full text" link.
19. View resource, then click on browser tab to close it.
20. Click on "Back" button.
21. Click on the "More actions" ellipses and select "Delete".
22. Change Handling option to "Delete bibliographic record(s).
23. Click on "Confirm" button.
