Enable bulk updating of items from spreadsheet based on barcode
It would be very useful to be able to bulk edit item records from an uploaded spreadsheet of physical items in much the same way that portfolios can be updated via uploading a spreadsheet.
I'm particularly interested in being able to bulk change data in the Enum/Chron fields in serials. I imagine this might have to be coupled with a regenerate job.

I would like to see this built into the Resource Management Import Profiles. There is currently an Update Inventory Profile based on POL, but I think they could just as easily create one based on Item PID and make it possible to update all item data (apart from the MMS, Holding, and Item PID) via spreadsheet.
Then, we could define a set of items needing correction, use the Export Items Job to export the item fields in a csv, correct fields, and then reimport the items via an Excel spreadsheet matching on the Item PID.
This functionality would be similar to what you can now do with the Alma calendar.

Our previous system (III/Sierra) was set up to use the volume field for both volume and copy information. This was mapped to the description field in Alma. We would love to fix this by segregating the copy information to the Copy ID field and the use the Description field for its intended purpose.

This would be extremely useful - we have several areas this could be useful for, including call numbers, enumeration and chronology, item descriptions.
One suggestion/request though - please don't restrict this to items records! would be useful for records of all types, and with various identifiers in addition to barcode (item id, mms id, holding id).
